On that day, 17 student volunteers from 6 primary and secondary schools in Xuhui District rushed to the Longhua Martyrs Memorial Hall before the start of the new semester. They followed national model worker Wang Cheng, Shanghai model worker Ye Sha and Yu Meixiang, Xuhui District model worker Chen Junqi, as well as the collective representative of the Municipal Worker Pioneer, Wang Haiying, and other members of the model worker volunteer explanation team. The reporter learned that the first batch of 17 student volunteer interpreters selected were selected through multiple trainings and assessments from dozens of applicants.
