Raphael, Peter Paul Rubens, Edward Manet, Vincent van Gogh... 70 precious masterpieces from nearly 70 art masters have made their debut in China. On June 22nd, the Pudong Art Museum launched a heavyweight exhibition titled "600 Years of Mastery: Masterpieces from the Tyson Bonemisa National Museum". This exhibition is the first pure painting exhibition at Pudong Art Museum and also the first large-scale international exhibition since the establishment of the Tisen Museum. The grand exhibition is located on the second floor of the art museum, with eight selected spaces featuring paintings spanning six centuries from the collection of the National Museum of Hisense Bonemisa in Spain. It presents the "Western Art Scroll" of European and American art from the Renaissance to the post-war period, leading visitors to understand the changes in the lifestyle and social landscape of the Western world over the past 600 years through authentic works of famous artists.
It is reported that the exhibition "600 Years of Masterpieces" gathers 70 precious masterpieces from nearly 70 art masters, including works by well-known European and American art masters such as Raphael, Peter Paul Rubens, Edward Manet, Vincent van Gogh, Vasily Kandinsky, Mark Chagall, Georgia O'Keeffe, Andrew Wise, etc., all presented to domestic audiences.

Among them, several treasures from the Tyson Museum collection have also been unveiled: "Portrait of a Young Man" is from Raphael, who is known as one of the three heroes of the Renaissance, with a soft main color tone and exquisite lighting effects; Peter Paul Rubens' Venus and Cupid, the ideal example of Baroque painting, perfectly portrays the beauty of richness in the artist's narrative painting; The outstanding representative of Venetian urban landscape painting, Canaletto, brought "Gazing at the Grand Canal from Saint Vio in Venice", which accurately depicts Venice's urban landmarks and living details through a high angle of view; Gustav Courbet, the founder of French realism, wrote "The Stream", which is a classic work in his later career. While capturing the authenticity of the scenery, it also preserves his subjective feelings towards painting; Vincent van Gogh, a master of post Impressionism, demonstrated a stylistic shift in his work "The Loading and Unloading of Arles". He abandoned the techniques of punchlism and Impressionism, expressing emotions with strong colors; Mark Chagall, the "godfather" of surrealism, portrays the Virgin and Child surrounded by angels, a dreamy world full of imagination leaping out
Of particular note is the masterpiece of Edward Manet, the father of modernist painting - The Knight Woman. The female knight is brave and spirited, and her free brushstroke techniques create a casual and lively atmosphere. The black clothing presents the artist's extraordinary expressive power towards black, as well as the ease in capturing luster, contours, and textures. This work was showcased as a key work at the 2011 "Manet - Creator of Modern Art" exhibition held at the Museum of Orsay in France, and was selected as the main visual poster to attract widespread attention on the streets of Paris.

Not only that, the exhibition also features several works of artistic masters: Vasily Kandinsky's "Murnau: The End of Johnny Street" presents the artist's gradual style evolution of simplifying real street scenes into basic shapes, which is an important prelude to his path to abstraction; Henry Matisse's Yellow Flower, created during the "difficult period," is full of color energy that heralds the arrival of the Fauvism era; Ernst Ludwig Kishner, one of the founders of "Bridge Society," continued the cultural tradition of depicting the Alps since Romanticism in his work "Junk Boden in the Snow", making it the masterpiece of his artistic career; The late masterpiece of Georgia O'Keeffe, the mother of modern American art, "From the Great Plains II," is more magnificent than the original work that depicted the vast plains of Texas 35 years ago. These masterpieces together create a rich and three-dimensional creative style for art masters and the changes in their artistic careers.

To stimulate the educational attributes of art museums and expand their audience, public education activities targeting different groups will also be launched simultaneously. On the first day of the public opening of the exhibition on June 22nd, the art director and administrative director of the Tisen Bonemisa National Museum will have a conversation with the director of the Pudong Art Museum, telling the audience the story behind the exhibition and the operation of the art museum.
