On June 16, 2023, the "Love Helps Me Fly High - Caring for the Growth of Children of Migrant Workers" project results exhibition event was held at the Youth Palace of the China Welfare Association. It is understood that in the 14 years since the implementation of this project, a total of 8770 children of migrant workers have been provided with art training in recitation, art, computer, choir, and other arts, bringing care from the city of Shanghai to the families of migrant workers. Enable children to have a rich extracurricular life, master more talents and skills, enjoy high-quality educational resources together, and grow happily and confidently.
Since 2008, the Shanghai Charity Foundation and the Shanghai Care for the Next Generation Research Center have carefully planned and organized the "Love Helps Me Fly High" project to care for the growth of children of migrant workers. This project aims to better integrate the children of migrant workers into Shanghai society, which is a practical project that has won the hearts of the people and is highly welcomed by students, parents, children's workers, and caring individuals.
In 2023, we celebrated the 14th anniversary of project implementation. Over the past 14 years, this project has provided free art, computer, and family education training courses for migrant workers and children from impoverished families. It has benefited 4300 students in recitation classes, 2500 students in art classes, 1070 students in computer classes, and 900 students in choir classes. An additional 14700 migrant workers and parents of students participated in family education workshops.

The project implementation adopts the education method of door-to-door delivery. Six recitation class instructors, two computer class teachers, as well as choir and art class teachers from the China Welfare Association Youth Palace provide recitation, computer, choir, and art training activities to nearly 680 children of migrant workers and impoverished families once a week. In the second half of 2022, the project overcame difficulties and was able to continue under the premise of successful national epidemic prevention and control.
In order to fulfill the promise of love, Tang Chunlei, a teacher at the Computer Center of the Youth Palace of the Computer Class, has persisted for 14 years, dedicating a part of his educational career to the children of migrant workers and disadvantaged students, creating a new situation for the Lego Robot Class at Huangpu School, where "love helps me fly high"; Sun Youjia, a teacher from the Youth Palace Drama Center of the China Welfare Association who taught at Jinding School just after graduating from university, was deeply moved by the simplicity, enthusiasm, and sincere character of the children of migrant workers on the first day of the class. In order to overcome the problem of children's accents in education, a line is often corrected nearly 10 times
In March of this year, the Shanghai Care for the Next Generation Research Center received a letter of assistance from He Yuxue, a struggling student at the Maliu nine-year school in Fengxiang Township, Wudu District, Longnan, Gansu Province. He Yuxue and her grandfather were hospitalized for emergency treatment due to an accident, and the high medical expenses made the already extremely difficult family even worse. The staff initiated the project school to carry out a charity activity, and the school actively participated in raising funds through activities such as charity fundraising and charity sales. The funds were safely and quickly implemented, and targeted donations were made, achieving the transmission of love.
