Beicai wedge-shaped green space is one of the ten wedge-shaped green spaces in Shanghai. This year is a crucial year for the construction of the Beicai wedge-shaped green space with an overall area of 10.6 square kilometers. On the afternoon of June 28th, the party building base of the Beicai wedge-shaped green space project was unveiled in Beicai Town, Pudong New Area. The Committee of the Communist Party of China Shanghai Pudong Development Co., Ltd. also signed a party building joint construction agreement with the Beicai Town Committee of the Communist Party of China Pudong New Area, and relevant subordinate party branches also signed paired contracts. This marks that the blueprint for the "urban forest" of Beicai is slowly unfolding into a concrete reality map, and will fully promote project construction under the guidance of party building.

In August 2022, Beicai Town launched the largest ever renovation project for "urban villages" such as Zhongjie and Yangqiao, which took only 5 months to complete from launch to signing, setting a new record for the speed of individual expropriation projects. During this period, Beicai Town built the party's battle fortress at the relocation command center, allowing party building to guide the entire process of expropriation. It took the lead in establishing a temporary party branch for the relocation and renovation of "urban villages", integrating various forces such as the district construction and transportation committee, district expropriation center, expropriation four, expropriation five, Pudong real estate company, and town urban construction center into the front line of expropriation, breaking the traditional party building model, building a relocation party building pattern with strong party leadership as the core, and transforming the political and organizational advantages of the party into the advantages of relocation and expropriation work.

The party building base for the Beicai wedge-shaped green space project established this time is an upgrade of the temporary party branch that witnesses the speed of "urban village" relocation. In the future, the base will continue to gather various forces into urban forest construction, with the aim of partnering with Beicai Town and Pukai Group to benchmark the record breaking collection speed and established goals, and comprehensively accelerate project construction.

The reporter learned that Beicai is currently in a critical period of economic development transformation, urban form renewal, deepening town governance, and creating a quality of life in four key areas of transformation and improvement. As of this month, the development plans for other "urban villages" have also been preliminarily presented, except for Zhongjie and Yangqiao. The relocation and renovation paths for areas such as Wuxing Village, Lianqin Village, Nanxin Village, Yiliu Village, and Weixing Village have been basically clear. We will draw on the experience of the relocation and reconstruction of "urban villages" in Zhongjie and Yangqiao, and use party building as a guide to accelerate the acquisition and relocation of various regions according to the plan, and synchronize it with the construction of wedge-shaped green spaces.

It is reported that the wedge-shaped green space in Beicai is different from general ecological green spaces. Pukai Group has endowed this "urban forest" wetland island, industrial park, high-quality housing, and other multiple functions in its planning. Among them, the Beicai Sen "Neighborhood" City Block project, which covers a total area of about 2.56 square kilometers, will have a development vision of "building houses in the forest, enjoying life in the shade of the trees, collecting fireworks in the market, and enjoying life in the forest city", creating an urban forest scene of "green space and blue water and sky reflecting buildings within a hundred meters of travel", and achieving a low-carbon forest "neighborhood" life for Shanghai residents.
