When it was first established in 2011, Lianying Medical, a "new star" enterprise in the medical industry headquartered in Jiading, shouted such bold words. Now, 12 years have passed, and Lianying Medical has grown from an unknown startup to a listed company with a market value of over 100 billion yuan. It has indeed made its own mark in the face of the high-end medical equipment foreign brand giant jokingly known as "GPS".
At present, Lianying Medical has launched more than 90 products with independent intellectual property rights to the market, breaking down technological barriers. At the same time, the products have also entered more than 10000 clinical and research institutions in more than 50 countries and regions in Europe and America. On the 2023 Shanghai Hardcore Technology Top 100 list released this spring, Lianying Medical ranked first.
For Lianying, Jiading District has been providing careful support. At the beginning of the company's establishment, more than a hundred talent housing quotas were allocated, and factory land was implemented. At one point, government office buildings were even vacated for temporary borrowing by the company. In recent years, the company has actively coordinated cooperation with research institutes. In order to give Lianying Medical a broader development space and fully leverage the leading enterprise's "head goose effect", an industrial town built around Lianying is about to emerge in Jiading.

On the afternoon of August 18th, Jiading Industrial Zone signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Lianying Group to jointly build "Lianying Town". In the future, both sides will rely on the new round of development and construction of Jiading New City to carry out cooperation in key areas such as industry city integration, technological innovation, achievement transformation, and industrial upgrading.
Li Chao, Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Executive Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Jiading Industrial Zone, told reporters that as the headquarters of Lianying Group is located, the total land area of "Lianying Town" is about 9.5 square kilometers, covering the old towns of Zhuqiao and Loutang, as well as the area along the Baoqian Highway. "Lianying Town" is divided into four sections, from east to west, namely Lianying Innovation Home, Chain Group Industry Community, Innovation Talent Community, and Future Industry Expansion Zone.
"The 'Lianying Innovation Home' will be the first sector to launch construction, with Lianying Medical Company as the core. The first phase has been completed and used, and the second phase is under construction, expected to be completed by 2025. We will also build an industrial service belt around the Baoqian Highway, focus on innovative research and development of medical equipment, and introduce upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain. The third sector will form an innovative talent community in the Zhuqiao area, providing high-quality living support services for the talents of 'Lianying Town' based on blue and green spaces. The fourth sector will be a future expansion zone, reserving development space for enterprises in the town." Li Chao said.
The reporter learned that in the second half of this year, a research institute project of Lianying will be officially launched, and "Lianying Town" will take this opportunity to accelerate the layout of a group of high-quality enterprises in the biopharmaceutical field. In order to promote the integration of industry and city in "Lianying Town", a series of planning and construction have been launched. For example, Jiading Industrial Zone has transformed and upgraded an industrial park on Huiyuan Road into a high-end medical equipment industrial park in Shanghai, equipped with a public technology service platform with 16 biopharmaceutical sectors including inspection and quarantine, metabolomics, implanted device design, and bioinformatics analysis; Jiatang Highway is currently undergoing planning adjustments and will be upgraded to "Lianying Avenue" in the future, from the current two-way three lane to two-way four lane; Two talent apartments, one school, and one integrated demonstration base of industry, academia, research, and medicine that can provide approximately 3200 housing units are also being planned and constructed.

High performance medical equipment and precision medical industry are one of the three billion dollar industries that Jiading District will focus on developing during the 14th Five Year Plan period. In the biopharmaceutical industry planning map of Jiading, Lianying Medical is the core node of the northward development belt of the industry and the industry leader leading the biopharmaceutical industry in the entire region to a higher level.
