In order to fully implement the spirit of the Shanghai Accessible Environment Construction Regulations and practice the concept of "People's City, People's City for the People", Huangpu District regards the construction of an accessible environment as a practical project to ensure and improve people's livelihoods. From urban roads and public places to famous scenic spots and historical buildings, more and more humanized accessible facilities are being built, enabling more and more disabled people to achieve an accessible life.
On August 21st, the Huangpu District Disabled Persons Federation, together with the Huangpu District Civilization Office and the Huangpu District Cultural and Tourism Bureau, jointly launched the "Listen with Heart, Communicate with Love" micro travel activity, opening up three urban experience "micro travel" routes for disabled people for the first time, allowing them to leave their homes. This event also received strong support from the People's Procuratorate of Huangpu District, the Nanjing East Road Sub district Office, the Bund Sub district Office, and the Huangpu District Tourism Association. More than 100 representatives of intellectual, hearing, and physical disabilities participated in the "Micro Travel" activity. With the help of volunteers, they visited the historical buildings along the Suzhou River, Yuanmingyuan Road, and the Bund International Architecture Complex up close, experiencing the beauty and convenience of an accessible city.
Between the buildings of the Bund, a group of physically disabled people on a "micro tour" are touring and shuttling. Although the speed of the journey is not fast, the atmosphere is lively and lively. "It is very convenient, and there are no obstacles encountered" is what they say the most. Several young people wearing prosecutor's uniforms in the team are particularly eye-catching. They are a volunteer team from the Huangpu District Prosecutor's Office. This time, they not only personally experienced the achievements of building an accessible environment, but also collected and explored potential areas for improvement in accordance with regulations.
By the Suzhou River, Xia Liyan, a hearing-impaired person, said in sign language, "Although she is from Shanghai, the Suzhou River has not been here for many years. I didn't expect that the coastline has become so beautiful, let alone that this time we are accompanied by volunteers from the Huangpu District Government Party Working Committee. The sign language explanation is very clear, which has helped me better understand the past and present of Huangpu, and also made me look forward to the future of Huangpu."
Chen Jiani from Xunshao Trading Co., Ltd. is a volunteer for a caring enterprise in the "Micro Travel" team on Yuanmingyuan Road. She said, "In this sunny weather, it is meaningful to accompany the Sunshine Babies to visit historical protected buildings. The tour route is well designed, and I hope to have the opportunity to participate in the future."

They excitedly exchanged their experiences and left behind beautiful memories. The volunteer team also distributed more than 100 accessible construction suggestion collection forms to the participants on site, collecting more than 80 "micro wishes".
