According to the education department staff of Zhuozhou City, there are currently 2836 primary school students and 880 junior high school students in the High tech Zone schools. Due to the location of the school in a low-lying area, the accumulated water exceeded 2 meters during the flood, and all classrooms and facilities on the first floor were washed away or submerged by the flood. After the flood receded, a large amount of silt accumulated in the classroom. Due to site limitations, large machinery and equipment cannot enter the classroom for operation, and can only be manually cleaned of the mud in the classroom.

Previously, the first batch of 2.96 million yuan worth of charity supplies provided by the Shanghai Charity Foundation to the Zhuozhou disaster area were shipped to the local area on August 12th. The first batch of supplies includes disinfectant, disinfectant wipes, tools for cleaning sludge, Dragon Tiger cooling oil, functional drinks, convenient fast food, etc., providing support for the resumption of classes for third year students in local schools in Zhuozhou, as well as assistance and rescue work for local residents.

As of 12:00 on August 22, the Shanghai Charity Foundation has received a total of 17.57 million yuan in online and offline donations and has disbursed 10.05 million yuan in aid for the flood relief special action in the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region.
