This exhibition is the first Chinese cultural themed exhibition held by Qingshui Temple. The exhibition is located in the ancient scripture hall of Shimizu Temple, where the Japanese cultural and artistic community, local media in the Kansai region, cultural bloggers, local tourists, and residents have long arrived. A local Japanese media reporter praised the farmer paintings and said, "Jinshan farmer paintings are colorful, simple in content, and very modern. These hardworking, simple, and leisurely scenes showcase the daily life of the Chinese people. Through the colorful images, one can feel the wisdom and happiness aspirations of the Chinese working people. This exhibition has also become a window for the Japanese people to understand Shanghai and China."
Jinshan Farmer's Painting is a folk art that stands out from the fields and wheat fields, drawn from the production and life of the water towns in Jiangnan, China. With a creative style that emphasizes light techniques and spiritual charm, it conveys a simple and mellow, warm and full, and vibrant atmosphere. It is a beautiful cultural calling card of Shanghai. "These paintings are bright and full of colors, emitting the fragrance of soil, and are loved by people," said a resident of Kyoto who savored each painting with great interest
At the opening ceremony, Lu Yongzhong, a farmer painter from Shanghai Jinshan Farmer's Painting Academy, presented his farmer paintings with the theme of Qingshui Temple to Abbot Mori Qingfan of Qingshui Temple. Lu Yongzhong has been working in the field of farmer painting for more than 30 years, and this time he has 9 works exhibited, which gives him a unique understanding of Jinshan farmer painting. "The biggest characteristic of farmer paintings is simplicity and cleanliness. Farmers' painters do not have the constraints of rules and regulations. They use their brushes to cultivate the land and express their love for the countryside and understanding of life through painting. This is both local and global." Lu Yongzhong said, hoping that through this exhibition, Shanghai's rural areas can go global and the world can understand China through farmer paintings.

"Jinshan Farmer's Painting has played an important role in cross-border cultural dissemination. For a long time, Jinshan Farmer's Painting has been deeply loved by Japanese friends. Every year, some Japanese friends come to the Chinese Farmer's Painting Village located in Jinshan to learn about farmer's painting creation. Jinshan Farmer's Painting Authors often learn from Japanese painting techniques to improve their artistic level. Jinshan and Qingshui Temple, one mountain, one water, have an endless love for mountains and waters." Jin Zhengbin, member of the Jinshan District Committee and Minister of Propaganda, said in his speech that the exchange and interaction between the two peoples, as well as the cultural exchange and dialogue between the two sides, have added huge imaginative space and artistic charm to Jinshan Farmer's Painting, and further promoted Shanghai Jinshan. Cultural exchange and cooperation between Kyoto, Japan.
"Culture is colorful through exchange, and civilization is enriched through mutual learning." Chinese Consul General in Osaka, Xue Jian, stated in his speech that as an important bridge to enhance the friendship between China and Japan, cultural and artistic exchanges have more important and prominent practical significance than in the past. I believe that through Jinshan Farmer Painting, Japanese friends can learn about the achievements of China's intangible cultural heritage protection, feel the rich spiritual world and aesthetic pursuit of Chinese farmers, and touch the pulse of China's development and changes today. This will further promote cultural and artistic exchanges between China and Japan, as well as deepen friendly exchanges between the two countries.
