In the tea break area, you say "Xiao Sa Xiao Sa, I want a bottle of Sprite", and the vending robot immediately takes out the colorful drinks from the shelf behind you and hands them to you; In the experience area, traditional Chinese medicine robots can quickly provide you with a physical examination report through tongue, pulse, and facial images. From July 6th to 8th, 2023, the 6th World Artificial Intelligence Conference was held in Shanghai, and the entire scene of Minhang artificial intelligence made its first comprehensive appearance on a world-class stage, demonstrating strong manufacturing, new technology, and hard power to the whole country and the world.

Recently, reporters visited the Minhang synchronous event site of this year's World Artificial Intelligence Conference and experienced a series of intelligent robot application scenarios in advance at the Zero Bay, experiencing the surprises and beauty that artificial intelligence brings to production and life. It is reported that from July 7th to 8th, nearly 30 academic expert opinion sharing sessions were held at the Minhang synchronous event site, including more than 20 industry leaders' keynote speeches and 3 roundtable dialogues that resonated with the same frequency, showcasing the most cutting-edge insights and international perspectives on the artificial intelligence industry. At the same time, multiple heavyweight achievements were released, striving to create a high-level, localized artificial intelligence conference feast.

How do robots diagnose?

In the 300 square meter artificial intelligence application scenario experience area of the Conference Center of the Science and Technology Innovation Building in the Greater Zero Bay, the most talked about by exhibitors is the demonstration of traditional Chinese medicine robot diagnosis.

Looking at the tongue coating and matching the pulse are important means of observing, smelling, asking, and cutting in traditional Chinese medicine. How can robots be implemented? It uses a tongue imager to capture the patient's tongue coating, collecting characteristic information such as "normal tongue shape, light red tongue color, yellow and white coating, thick and greasy coating, and obvious prickling". Then, the preliminary tongue image detection results are obtained: "It is common in people with food accumulation and phlegm imbalance in the body.".

To set up a pulse, it is done with the help of a hand loop pulse monitor. The tester places them on the wrists of their left and right hands respectively. After about 10 seconds of pulse collection, the screen displays the analysis information of pulse indicators: "Pulse force: weak; Pulse position: medium; Pulse rate: 71 beats/minute; Pulse momentum: normal; Rhythm: uniform". The test result is "Deficiency pulse: seen in deficiency syndrome, mostly due to deficiency of both qi and blood".

Afterwards, the robot can also use blood glucose and blood pressure monitors to collect information and data on the participant's blood glucose and blood pressure, further recording and analyzing their health status.

The on-site staff introduced that this traditional Chinese medicine robot is called the "Four Diagnostic Devices of Traditional Chinese Medicine". It is a traditional Chinese medicine diagnostic equipment independently developed by Shanghai National Group Health Technology Co., Ltd. It has been successfully launched this year and has been approved for the national medical device registration certificate. It can collect and analyze tongue, facial, pulse, and physical information for reference and auxiliary diagnosis and treatment in traditional Chinese medicine. This intelligent device can also achieve information exchange between hospital and home testing data, continuously supplement and improve patient electronic medical records, use high-quality data, promote scientific research, and provide feedback to clinical practice.

Shanghai Jiao Tong University has also presented a variety of medical robot wearable products, including low-power intelligent finger ring systems, brain digital twin systems, and Parkinson's balance disorder intelligent assisted rehabilitation systems. For example, a type of ring that automatically collects daily health data such as the wearer's heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen saturation, steps taken, calories, standing time, respiratory rate, sleep recognition, sleep staging, equivalent distance of activity, and stress score. Just like a pair of shoes, it can accurately capture the pressure on the soles of the feet, analyze the patient's gait and balance through time-sharing collection of the left and right feet, and then adjust the amplitude, frequency, and duty cycle of multi-channel electrical stimulation in real-time to achieve patient balance and gait assisted rehabilitation.

It is understood that in recent years, with the vigorous development of the biopharmaceutical industry in Minhang District, as well as the construction and operation of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Medical Robot Research Institute and Industrial Park, more and more medical robot related projects and application scenarios are gathering in the Greater Zero Bay area.

Presentation of four major application scenarios

The reporter learned that the application scenario experience area set up by Minhang this time has more than 10 local intelligent robot companies showcasing their products and technologies, mainly for the interpretation of four major application scenarios. In addition to medical robots, industrial robots, educational robots, and service robots are also on duty on site.

A six joint robotic arm showcases the balance and stability of industrial robots. At the scene, a red wine glass was placed on the tray supported by this robotic arm, and a robotic arm next to it poured red wine into it. After that, no matter how much the robotic arm shook and swayed, the red wine glass and the wine in the glass remained motionless; Add three red wine glasses to the plate, and even stack the fourth glass on the second layer. The situation remains the same, as no drop of red wine has spilled from the glass. It is reported that similar robot operations have almost zero deviation in details and can be applied to small component installation processes that require high accuracy.

The application scenarios of service robots include not only common displays such as welcoming guests, selling goods, and delivering goods, but also a type of security robot that is quite eye-catching. It looks like a small truck that can open the lid while driving on the ground, allowing its own unmanned aerial vehicle to fly into the sky. At the same time, it conducts dual dimensional patrols on the ground and in the air, and synchronously uploads collected information data. The unmanned aerial vehicle can fly up to ten kilometers and can be used for security patrols in firefighting, military, schools, and other areas.

The education robot exhibition area has built a mini football field, and a group of cute humanoid robots are engaged in a "three on three" competitive competition. Next to it, there is also a "smart port", which can achieve full intelligent transportation of goods from the port to the ship through children's programming.

In summer, Yang Quan, a delivery rider from Lincang, Yunnan, has once again encountered the toughest delivery season of the year. However, his heart is steadfast: the "Warm New Nest" new employment group service station in front of the Zhaofeng Square in Zhongshan Park is a harbor for him and his colleagues to shelter from wind and rain throughout the year, regardless of the extreme cold or heat. This is one of the many "warm new nests" in Changning District. Yang Quan, born on the banks of the Lancang River and born in the 1990s, did not know that in the bustling city center of Shanghai, many people used to live in shabby houses, some of whom also faced insurmountable difficulties such as serious illness and unemployment. The Huayang Road Street in Changning District, where Zhaofeng Square is located, is one of them. 30 years ago, grassroots cadres in Huayang visited day and night to understand the living conditions of all the disadvantaged groups and helped them solve difficulties one by one. From then on, a person who understands people
