On July 20th, the Shanghai Charity Foundation launched the "Filial Piety and Respect for the Elderly" series of charity and public welfare projects in Hongkou District, under the sub project of "Charity Market Entering the Community and Serving the Elderly". In the future, this project will rely on the love and support of various sectors of society, targeting the needs of the elderly population, and continuously providing comprehensive and multi-level elderly assistance services at regular and designated times, with a focus on providing services for the elderly who are unable to meet the needs of the elderly. Several caring enterprises in Hongkou District donated over 14.972 million yuan in donations on site, benefiting the elderly in need in Hongkou District.

This is also the third batch of "Filial Piety and Respect for the Elderly" series of charity projects launched by the Shanghai Charity Foundation, following the sub projects of Qingpu District and Fengxian District. To ensure the smooth implementation and effective supervision of the project, and to make the action of serving the elderly more precise, normalized, convenient, and branded, the Shanghai Charity Foundation will serve as the guiding unit of the "Charity Market in the Community and Service for the Elderly Around Us" project, the Hongkou District Representative Office of the Shanghai Charity Foundation will serve as the project organizer, and various streets in Hongkou will serve as the project organizers.

At the event, caring enterprises such as Shanghai North Bund Co., Ltd., Shanghai Changyuan Group, Shanghai Hongfang Co., Ltd., Shanghai Hongkou Commercial Co., Ltd., Golden Dragon Fish Charity Foundation, Shanghai Xiahai Temple, Shanghai Hongkou District City Appearance Construction Co., Ltd., Shanghai North Central Environmental Science and Technology Innovation Enterprise Development Co., Ltd., Shanghai Property Management Industry Association Hongkou Representative Office, and Shanghai Rural Commercial Bank Co., Ltd. Hongkou Branch donated a total of 9.772 million yuan to the Shanghai Charity Foundation Hongkou District Representative Office; Each street in Hongkou District also donated a total of 5.2 million yuan in donations. At the same time, Abbott China also plans to donate 1 million yuan worth of Quan An Su and Yi Li Jia to the Hongkou District Representative Office of the Shanghai Charity Foundation every year for the next three years, with targeted use to support elderly people in need and improve their quality of life.

They signed a memorandum of cooperation with Shanghai Charity Foundation on site, bringing traditional Chinese medicine free diagnosis, legal aid, electrical appliance maintenance, household services and other convenient services to the elderly in the community.
