A precious photo album witnesses the victory of the War of Resistance Against US Aggression and Aid to Korea, and the relics of the founding general Su Yu appear at the Memorial Hall of the Fourth National Congress of the Communist Party of China

73 years ago, the Chinese People's Volunteer Army, composed of outstanding sons and daughters of China, shouldered the heavy trust of the people and the expectations of the nation, raised the banner of justice to defend peace and resist aggression, bravely and confidently crossed the Yalu River, and after two years and nine months of arduous and bloody battles, won the great victory of the Korean War. To commemorate the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Korean War, on July 27th, the Memorial Hall of the Fourth National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the National Flag Education Exhibition Hall held a themed event titled "Remembering the Great Victory and Revitalizing Immortal Monument - Commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the Victory of the Korean War".

The theme exhibition of "Remembering the Great Victory and Immortal Monument of Revival" commemorating the 70th anniversary of the victory in the Korean War will be exhibited in the National Flag Education Exhibition Hall from today onwards. The exhibition presents the history of that year to the audience in various forms and will be regularly replaced with exhibits for visitors to visit. The reporter learned that since April 2023, the National Flag Education Exhibition Hall has been collecting historical materials, relics, and related clues from the Korean War from the whole society. It has received strong support from Shanghai University and the Shanghai Chinese People's Volunteer Army Memorial Hall, as well as assistance from various sectors of society such as the Hongkou District Collection Society and the Hongkou District Library. It has collected 111 paper document exhibits and 40 physical exhibits.

On the same day, Qian Ruijuan, wife of Su Hansheng, the second son of General Su Yu, and Wu Yibin, deputy curator of the four major memorial halls of the Communist Party of China, jointly unveiled the photo album "General Su Yu accompanied Premier Zhou Enlai and Marshal Chen Yi to visit North Korea". Visitors can flip through the photo album in the memorial hall and feel the precious memory firsthand.

It is reported that on October 18, 2018, General Su Rongsheng, son of General Su Yu, and his daughter Su Huining donated a precious photo album, a 60 year old father's relic, to the Shanghai Chinese People's Volunteer Army Memorial Hall. This album records precious historical materials from February 1958, when General Su Yu accompanied Premier Zhou Enlai and Marshal Chen Yi to visit North Korea to discuss the withdrawal of the Volunteer Army. It is an important historical relic that witnesses the victory of the Korean War. In order to inherit and promote the great spirit of resisting US aggression and aiding Korea, the Memorial Hall of the Fourth National Congress of the Communist Party of China obtained the consent of descendants of Su Yu and borrowed this exhibit from the Memorial Hall of the Chinese People's Volunteer Army.

In order to make the audience feel the dual charm brought by culture and technology, the Memorial Hall of the Fourth National Congress of the Communist Party of China has deeply cooperated with Shanghai University to launch the "Spiritual Realm, Strong Country with Me" VR exhibition. The VR system is equipped with 4K-VR glasses and is equipped with a 3D display software for red cultural relics resources. It supports a single person interactive experience and can operate virtual content through a controller or gesture. It provides functions such as 3D navigation of red cultural relics resources, light prompts, triggered commentary, and fun tasks. The VR glasses of "Lingjing · Strong Country Has Me" have entered the National Flag Education Exhibition Hall from now on. Through them, visitors can enjoy and touch the displayed exhibits and cultural relics related to the Korean War up close, making up for the regret that the exhibits can only be viewed from afar. Ms. Qian, who had an on-site experience, said, "Wearing VR glasses gives you an immersive feeling, and exhibits such as the Korean War Memorial Medal seem within reach."

In the future, the "Spiritual Realm - Strong Country with Me" VR system will provide multiplayer interactive red guides, multi museum integration and shared exhibition booth functions, achieving the "four digital red gene libraries" of virtual and real integration, harmonious coexistence between people and museums, and integration between museums and museums. Tian Feng, a professor and doctoral supervisor at the Shanghai Film Academy of Shanghai University, stated that the Memorial Hall of the Fourth National Congress of the Communist Party of China has been continuously exploring red resources for many years, assisting in educational dissemination, and integrating digital and intelligent equipment to enrich the viewing experience of visitors through technological innovation. The Red Cinema has officially made its debut in the National Flag Education Exhibition Hall, aiming to further promote good red culture and tell the story of the national flag through a popular film screening format. At 10 a.m., the cinema held a screening of the movie "Crossing the Yalu River", which showcased the patriotic spirit of all volunteer soldiers who sacrificed their lives to defend peace, justice, and the country.
