On June 29th, the first phase of the Zhongke Ecological Digital Port in the Shanghai Bay Area held an open day event. A number of projects, including semiconductor artificial intelligence projects, security digital information technology projects, and opto hydraulic composite precision integrated CNC system projects, were signed. At the same time, the Shanghai Bay Area Star Camp of ChiNext and the Global Empowerment Center of Guorong Xinghua were also unveiled and established, which is expected to inject more impetus into the high-quality development of the Shanghai Bay Area in the future.

It is understood that the Shanghai Bay Area Zhongke Ecological Digital Port was jointly built by the Shanghai Bay Area Science and Technology Innovation Center and the China Academy of Science and Technology in 2020. It is a key layout of the China Academy of Science and Technology in the Yangtze River Delta region and an extremely important technology carrier for the Shanghai Bay Area Science and Technology Innovation Center. It aims to create a "science and technology innovation city" that is suitable for business, innovation, and living, with enterprise headquarters and technology research and development as the main focus, and innovation incubation and supporting service functions as the support.

The total investment of the project is 1.4 billion yuan, covering an area of approximately 83 acres and a total construction area of approximately 160000 square meters. It will be developed and constructed in three phases. Among them, the first phase of the project started construction as soon as the land was acquired in December 2021, with a total construction area of about 33000 square meters, including 7 buildings, which are respectively used as enterprise office buildings, enterprise R&D headquarters buildings, and talent apartment buildings. At the same time, there are also libraries, themed restaurants, coffee spaces, and other facilities within the park. The second phase of the project will start construction in the second half of this year. After the overall operation of the project, it is expected to accommodate about 30-40 corporate headquarters, more than 200 technology enterprises, and gather nearly 8000 technological innovation talents, becoming a highly influential industrial development highland on the north bank of Hangzhou Bay.

On that day, multiple high-quality enterprises and platforms signed contracts to settle in the Shanghai Bay Area Zhongke Ecological Digital Port. For example, the semiconductor artificial intelligence project is a high-tech enterprise with world leading semiconductor artificial intelligence technology. It was initiated by the returning team of the Chief Scientist of China Singapore United Nations Natural Science Foundation, and applies advanced AI technology to key areas of semiconductor manufacturing such as intelligent measurement, virtual processes, defect detection and traceability, and equipment intelligence, serving many leading domestic and foreign semiconductor enterprises.

For example, Chuangye Bang Shanghai Bay Area Star Camp has been officially launched and established. With the support of Chuangye Bang, the largest innovation and entrepreneurship service platform in China, Chuangye Bang integrates the latest global industry trends, business opportunities, and the experiences of outstanding entrepreneurs for enterprises settling in the Shanghai Bay Area Zhongke Ecological Digital Port, achieving resource complementarity and providing comprehensive support for enterprise development.
