On the afternoon of June 9th, the "Medical Road Inheritance, Encountering a Century Old Rashid" series of activities kicked off at the Rashid Medical Research Institute surrounded by trees. As part of the annual "Chinese Cultural and Natural Heritage Day" themed event, the "Medical Road Inheritance, Encountering a Century old Rashid" series of activities lasts for two days. This is also the last time the 90 year old Rashid Medical Research Institute is open to the public before renovation.
On the day of the event, Su Xinbao, Vice President of the Historical Architecture Protection and Design Institute of Huajian Group, and Qiao Zhengyue, a columnist and chief journalist of the Urban and Architectural History column and chief journalist of Shanghai Daily, gave on-site explanations. Guests from various fields such as Shanghai culture, history, medicine, and architectural culture enthusiasts gathered together to guide and visit the building, review historical photo imprints, and participate in interactive Q&A activities. They remembered the final appearance before the renovation of the Leister Medical Research Institute and witnessed the shining moment before the magnificent transformation of this historic building.

Zhang Zhong, a researcher at the Jing'an District Bureau of Culture and Tourism, said that every year, the bureau organizes citizens to actively participate in the "Architecture Readable" project, allowing more people to understand the classic cultural relics and excellent historical buildings in the area, the fascinating cultural stories behind them, the complex historical evolution, and the reasons why it is necessary to do a good job in building protection and repair. For the renovation of the Leiside Medical Research Institute, the Jing'an District Bureau of Culture and Tourism provided 34 high-definition photos with historical value free of charge, which were used as historical evidence and repair basis to help relevant protection units better complete historical comparisons and improve repair details.
Wu Qinan, co-founder and CEO of Xinfeng Tianyu and CEO of Hemujia Medical, said that in the future, the Leister Medical Research Institute will be renovated on the basis of protecting the cultural heritage of historical buildings, inheriting the academic exchange function of this century old building.

This event is jointly organized by Xinfeng Tianyu&Hemujia Medical, Jing'an District Cultural and Tourism Bureau, and Shanghai Yanhuang Cultural Research Association.
