As July 1st is approaching, in accordance with the arrangements of the Municipal Party Committee's thematic education work and the requirements of the Daxing investigation and research deployment, the Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, Chen Jining, went to large residential communities and building party mass stations today to conduct a special investigation on grassroots party building work and warmly visit representatives of frontline party members at the grassroots level. Chen Jining pointed out that in order to transform the grand blueprint of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China into a realistic picture with high quality, it is necessary to better play the role of grassroots party organizations as battle fortresses and party members as pioneers and models.
Chen Jining and his delegation first arrived at Shanghai Kangcheng, located in Xinzhuang Town, Minhang District. This super large community has a permanent population of nearly 40000 people, and the diverse needs of residents have put forward higher requirements for grassroots governance. In recent years, community party committees have relied on the "Xinzhihui" platform, guided by party building and involving multiple parties, to simultaneously explore and cultivate the endogenous resources and strength of community governance. Residents negotiate key issues of community governance, making community autonomy under the leadership of party organizations more dynamic. The city leaders inspected the public service supporting facilities, listened to the overall introduction of the community, walked into the Kangcheng Party Mass Service Center, and learned about the "Xinzhihui" operation structure and the exploration and practice of technology empowering community governance. They had a friendly exchange with Zhang Junping, a representative of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the full-time deputy secretary of the Kangcheng Community Party Committee, as well as resident party members and volunteer representatives who were enthusiastic about community affairs. They carefully listened to their innovative explorations and ideas and suggestions on Party building leading grassroots governance, and praised everyone for actively participating in community governance and leading residents to build a better community. Chen Jining said that managing a super large community is not easy and requires cooperation from all aspects. Our advantage lies in the leadership of party building. Grassroots party organizations have the closest distance, closest contact, and widest contact with the residents. They should better play their role, use more emotions in connecting and serving the masses, put more effort into promoting and educating the masses, and make more efforts in organizing and rallying the masses. They should accelerate the improvement of grassroots governance platforms with grid management, refined services, and information support, and better connect with the masses, unite the masses, and guide the masses through services. We must conscientiously practice the whole process of people's democracy, discuss and handle everyone's affairs, mobilize and organize resources and forces from all aspects more effectively, and accelerate the construction of a social governance community where everyone has a responsibility, everyone is responsible, and everyone enjoys it. The allocation of various resources should continue to tilt towards the grassroots level, ensuring that grassroots party organizations and cadres have the resources and ability to serve the people, and further enhancing the influence and appeal of grassroots organizations among the masses.
Subsequently, the city leaders arrived at the Party and Mass Service Station of Jintie E-Station located in Changfengxin Village Street, Putuo District. Here, we provide party building, governance, and business services for building enterprises, employees, and new employment groups. By establishing a building governance committee, we aim to promote the upgrading of building party building and break through the boundaries of building governance. Chen Jining conducted an on-site inspection of the service list and activity items provided by the site for building employees, carefully understood the progress of party building work for the new employment group represented by delivery riders, and affirmed the innovative work methods, active contact with services, and cohesion of party members and the masses of frontline party and mass workers.
In the multifunctional activity room, the "Mind Gathering" brand course tailored for delivery riders is currently underway.
