In accordance with the arrangements of the Municipal Party Committee's theme education work and the requirements of the Daxing investigation and research deployment, on the afternoon of June 15th, Chen Jining, the Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, conducted a special investigation on the implementation of the new round of popular support projects in our city. Chen Jining pointed out that the People's Heart Project reflects the voice of the people and responds to their expectations.

In recent years, Shanghai has actively implemented the open sharing of unit affiliated green spaces, committed to creating more green ecological spaces that citizens can enter, rest, and enjoy. Chen Jining and his delegation arrived at the green space attached to the former site of Shanghai Dictionary Publishing House. This area is accelerating the promotion of open sharing work, and the wall will be demolished to allow the century old historical building located here to complement the open garden on the street, fully showcasing the profound cultural heritage of the block and promoting harmonious coexistence between people and nature. Chen Jining inspected the renovation of historical protected buildings, listened to the relevant progress of our city's construction of community parks and "pocket parks" through the combination of unit green space opening and sharing, and reminded us to simultaneously do a good job in the protection of historical buildings and the opening and sharing of green spaces. Chen Jining said that in combination with the construction of park cities, we should actively tap into potential and innovate methods, encourage and support more eligible government agencies, enterprises and institutions to open fences and walls, turn enclosed spaces into open spaces, improve public facilities, enhance ecological quality, tell cultural stories, inherit urban memories, make park green spaces more readable and charming, and allow citizens to be closer and more restful.

Suhewan Green Space, as the largest waterfront green space in the eastern section of Suzhou River, is committed to creating a high-energy and landmark public activity space through the overall implementation of urban renewal and comprehensive renovation of waterfront spaces. Since its completion and opening in March this year, citizens and tourists have come in droves to play and check in. Chen Jining and his team inspected the layout of green spaces and waterfront spaces, learned about the progress of the regional overhead line grounding and pole box renovation project, as well as the accessibility improvement project. They also visited "Jinglin One Home" to understand the convenient service supply and service station settings, and had in-depth exchanges and discussions with relevant district and department leaders on further promoting the "One River, One River" space quality improvement project on both sides. Chen Jining said that the "One River, One River" public space has been well received by citizens and tourists after being connected and opened. We must continue to work hard, combine with regional realities, focus on spatial improvement, quality improvement, and functional enhancement, fully integrate advanced concepts such as sponge cities and green low-carbon into project construction and operation, continuously create new highlights of "one river, one river", new spaces suitable for entertainment and tourism, and new landmarks of people's cities, leaving the best resources for the people and serving them with high-quality supply.

The construction of large-scale residential communities plays an important role in improving the housing security system. Chen Jining and his delegation visited the Yongkang City residential area in Pujiang, Minhang District, to inspect the construction of supporting facilities and the quality of residential functions on site. According to the overall community plan and in line with the expectations and demands of the people, this area is accelerating the construction of supporting facilities such as greening, transportation, elderly care, health, commerce, community services, culture and sports, and improving relevant public service functions. Chen Jining said that we must adhere to the development concept of putting the people at the center, closely combine with the investigation and research of Daxing, continue to go deep into the grassroots front line, listen carefully to the needs of the masses, strengthen overall planning and design, optimize supply channels, and ensure that the construction of large-scale residential communities better meets the people's aspirations for improving living conditions.

In order to further improve the system of affordable rental housing, the "New Era Urban Builders and Managers Home" project for frontline migrant workers in urban construction and management services is being explored and promoted in various districts to better promote the balance between work and housing. Chen Jining and his delegation visited the Wangyue Road project located in Xuhui District to inspect room facilities, public activity spaces, and public laundry rooms. In the shared kitchen, several security service personnel who have already checked into the project are preparing dinner. Chen Jining walked among them and had a friendly exchange with everyone, asking about their living experience. The security guards said that the facilities here are fully equipped, the rooms are clean and tidy, and the rent can also be affordable. There is no need to worry about the various troubles brought by group renting in the past, and it is very reassuring. Chen Jining said that urban development cannot be separated from the hard work of the vast number of builders and workers. We must make every effort to create conditions, actively tap into various resources, build, renovate, and raise a group of low rent, affordable new era urban builders and managers' homes, so that they can live and work in the city safer, more dignified, and more comfortable. We must focus on quality and safety, promote effective and orderly coordination in policy support, project initiation, planning implementation, and financial support, and ensure the high-quality completion of each project.
