Can "ink stains" and "oil stains" also become "flowers" and "green leaves"? This is the only way for many industries. Hydrogen energy | Shanghai | Fresh flowers
"Cities must no longer spread like ink and oil stains. Once they develop, they must bloom like stars, alternating green leaves in golden light," said Scottish urban planning theorist Patrick Geddes in his book "Evolving Cities.". For a city, the rapid development and expansion of industries have driven economic growth and left behind patches of mottled "ink marks".
Currently, green development is reshaping the spatial pattern and industrial structure of cities. How can "ink stains" and "oil stains" become "flowers" and "green leaves" in cities? The first Carbon Expo held in Shanghai was attended by 20 key industrial parks and over a hundred enterprises from the home area of Lingang Group, creating the largest exhibition area for this year's Carbon Expo and providing a sample for observing industrial development and urban transformation.
Focus on the "green" function
The park is an important carrier for implementing the national "dual carbon" strategy and an important force for urban greening. Data shows that the total public green area of Lingang Group's park exceeds 880000 square meters, with an average green coverage rate of over 39%.
Compared to the ecological green of the park, what needs more attention is the "green" function of the park, which has become a lever for attracting investment. Many companies need to consider the location, talent concentration, and whether the building has LEED certification before selecting a location, which is particularly evident in multinational enterprises.
LEED is a green building evaluation system established and implemented by the US Green Building Council, and is considered one of the most comprehensive and influential evaluation standards in the field of building environmental protection. The Caohejing Development Zone, a subsidiary of Lingang Group, is one of the earliest national ecological industry demonstration parks in China. As early as a decade ago, Caohejing placed great emphasis on the low-carbon construction of park buildings.
"Green and high-quality development plays an important role in the process of Chinese path to modernization. Carbon neutrality and industrial chain transformation and upgrading have also become the only way for many industries to develop towards the sun." Rockwell Automation Co., Ltd. has been rooted in Caohejing for decades. Shi An, president of the company, said: "The green transformation driven by digital means will bring more possibilities and new opportunities for the sustainable and healthy development of China's economy and society."
At present, the head office of Caohejing Development Zone is focusing on building a green and low-carbon smart platform for Caohejing. Through this platform, it can track the green and low-carbon transformation process of the park, create a green and low-carbon digital business card for the park, and reserve digital interfaces for more diverse green and low-carbon scenes.
Green buildings are an important carrier of low-carbon ecological cities, which has become a consensus among many parks in Shanghai. During the development process of the park, Lingang Group insists on using and promoting green building technology in the construction process, ensuring that key construction projects fully comply with the national two star green building design standards.
Take G60 Kechuang Cloud Corridor as an example. This building integrates the design concepts of green, environmental protection and ecology. The cloud top is equipped with solar photovoltaic panels and rainwater circulation system. The aluminum alloy mesh shell of Phase I of Cloud Corridor covers an area of 80000 square meters. It is currently the largest aluminum alloy mesh shell structure in the world. After calculation, this project saves 47.5 per year compared with the industry-recognized energy consumption benchmark, and LEED energy consumption score is full marks.
Building Native Power
According to the industrial plan of Shanghai, green and low-carbon is one of the new tracks in the industry, with a scale of over 500 billion yuan by 2025. For industries, green has become the primary driving force for development. Last year, "International Hydrogen Valley" was selected as a characteristic industrial park in Shanghai, which is also the only hydrogen energy characteristic industrial park in Shanghai.
Relying on the open and institutional advantages of the Lingang New Area, the park has now gathered more than 30 upstream and downstream enterprises in the hydrogen energy industry chain, including Cummins, Shaanxi Automobile Dechuang, and Hydrogen Chen Technology, forming a comprehensive industrial pattern that integrates hydrogen vehicles, engine systems, core components, key materials, high-end equipment, and scenario applications. It is one of the most representative hydrogen energy industry development clusters in China.
At present, the International Hydrogen Valley is vigorously developing hydrogen powered application scenarios with sustainable conversion capabilities, such as tens of thousands of heavy-duty trucks, dump trucks, and commuter buses in the region. By the end of 2022, the first oil hydrogen co construction station and the first pure hydrogen refueling station in the Lingang New Area have been put into operation, and the output value of hydrogen energy enterprises has reached 2 billion yuan.
Deng Haoqiang, Deputy General Manager of Shanghai Lingang Hydrogen Industry Development Co., Ltd., said, "This month, the first batch of 60 hydrogen waste trucks in Shanghai will be officially put into operation in the Lingang New Area, and there are plans to release 100 more. By 2025, the Lingang New Area will promote 1000 fuel cell vehicles, and the scale of the hydrogen fuel cell vehicle industry will exceed 10 billion yuan, covering the entire industry chain of core components and hydrogen energy equipment for hydrogen fuel cell vehicles."
Focusing on the functional elements of the park, the "International Hydrogen Valley" cooperates to launch a hydrogen industry development fund, with an initial scale of about 1 billion yuan, covering the entire hydrogen production, storage, operation, and use industry chain and related fields; Lead the establishment of the first local standardization technical committee in the hydrogen energy field within the Yangtze River Delta region - the Shanghai Hydrogen Energy Standardization Technical Committee, responsible for the centralized management of local standardization technology in the hydrogen energy field in Shanghai, and play a role in supporting technological innovation and serving the development of the industry. In addition, the park actively explores the construction of national hydrogen energy testing and certification bases, hydrogen trading platforms and other public service platforms, creating a good ecology for the high-quality development of Shanghai's hydrogen energy industry.
Yuan Guohua, secretary of the Party Committee and chairman of Lingang Group, said that Lingang Group always takes green as the development background of the industry and the park, and unswervingly follows the road of characteristic, sustainable and high-quality development. "In recent years, we have formulated and implemented a three-year action plan for green development, comprehensively constructing low-carbon parks, low-carbon buildings, and low-carbon factories, vigorously developing low-carbon technologies, low-carbon industries, low-carbon energy, and green finance, and persistently leading the green development of parks and industries."
