The sixth "Cross sea Inheritance - Taiwan Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition" was held in Yu Garden in Shanghai from July 18, and more than 80 works of Taiwan painters were exhibited on site. At the opening ceremony, four calligraphers and painters from Taiwan jointly wrote the theme of the event "Unity, Same Origin, Empathy, and Consensus", symbolizing the connection of blood and culture between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait.
"I hope this event can build a bridge for communication and exchange between the calligraphy and painting industry, as well as the cultural and artistic circles on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, continuously promote excellent traditional Chinese culture, and stimulate the enthusiasm of people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait to participate in the creation of excellent Chinese culture." Chen Li, Director of the Huangpu District Taiwan Affairs Office and President of the District Taiwan Federation, said that through the use of books, paintings, and literature to make friends, people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait can truly feel the charm of Chinese cultural inheritance for thousands of years, and achieve spiritual integration in communication and inheritance.
Pan Huimin, Director of the Art and Creative Center of the Ministry of Education at the Chinese Culture University and Chairman of the China International Curatorial Brokerage and Exchange Association, from Taiwan, told reporters that from these works, one can feel the inheritance and promotion of Chinese culture in Taiwan, and witness the contributions of artists to the inheritance and innovation of traditional art. "These art works not only have beauty, but also contain artists' thoughts and expressions on nature, life, society, and the spiritual world.".

It is reported that this painting and calligraphy exhibition, as one of the important activities of the 12th Cross Strait Art Xintiandi Forum, will be exhibited in Yu Garden from July 18 to 22, and the "Cross Strait Inheritance" Taiwan painting and calligraphy works sharing meeting will be held in the time zone gallery of Sinan Mansion on the afternoon of July 21.
