During the pre Olympic construction of the Beijing Winter Olympics, Beijing Performing Arts Group, as the owner unit of the National Sports Center, considered the post competition renovation and use of the venue. Therefore, a sense of technology was integrated into various parts of the venue, providing strong support for the functionality and convenient services of the venue.
At the beginning of the renovation of the National Sports Center, pre embedded parts were reserved in the ice rink, which can meet the requirements of the Winter Olympics ice hockey competition with an area of 60 meters x 26 meters, and can also serve the requirements of more ice events in the post Winter Olympics era with an ice surface area of 60 meters x 30 meters, achieving timely switching of ice rink area and allowing for easy expansion and contraction of the rink area.
The National Stadium adopts a unique illuminance measurement system, which has almost no halo visible to the naked eye. This lighting system has reserved diverse designs for different activity needs. Through iPad control, the lighting show can be coordinated to create a sense of rhythm according to the effect of music, enhancing the effect of the lighting show in a three-dimensional way. It will be widely used in concerts and performances.

In the future, the National Sports Center will actively link the business of the performing arts and film sectors, provide diversified venue services, inject more cultural content into the venues, and jointly build the brand effect of "Beijing Performing Arts".
