What should a "public lobby room" look like in Shanghai? Xuhui, this neighborhood, hands over the answer to the cafeteria | community | neighborhood
At 4:45 pm on August 1st, traditional Chinese medicine practitioner Zhang Fuliang saw off the last patient, sorted out the case files on the computer for a while, picked up his electric bike helmet, and walked down the first floor to the community cafeteria. He ordered three small dishes to pack and prepared to take home as a family dinner.
"Every day when we get off work, we take some dishes back with us. We have a lot of patients to receive. acupuncture and moxibustion, moxibustion, cupping, massage, and sometimes people with disabilities come to recuperate. One day when we go back to cook, we can't move any more." Dr. Zhang said with a smile.
A week ago, the community health service station where Zhang Fuliang was located moved into the newly renovated third floor of the Tushanwan Party and Mass Service Center Neighborhood Hui, which was a long-awaited moment for him and many surrounding residents. After the construction of Neighborhood Gathering, Dr. Zhang solved the problem of having three meals a day without leaving the building, which was worry free and convenient. In his words, "It would be great to save time and serve two more patients."
And this neighborhood, located at the intersection of Xujiahui commercial district and residential area, is far more than just integrating health service stations and community canteens. At the beginning of the planning, Tushanwan Neighborhood Hub identified four essential community supporting areas: integrated community cafeteria, community assisted bathing, community health services, and community cultural and sports space. On this basis, rich content such as public welfare, mutual assistance, and convenience has been incorporated into this three story building with a fresh design and comfortable environment.
In the shops along the street on the first floor of Neighborhood Hui, the young man is making coffee for the guests. He is the newly hired silent barista at Yibei Coffee. This silent coffee shop, built by deaf people, uses high-quality coffee beans from Yunnan, and the prices of various products are also slightly lower than independent coffee shops on the market.
Hou Liang, one of the partners of Yibei Coffee, is an experienced silent barista. Upon learning that Yibei Coffee was about to open its first store, he joined the entrepreneurial team without hesitation. Every day, he guides new employees in their work, handles various documents and materials related to the coffee shop, and even plays the role of a "firefighting captain" when the shop is busy. The abundant flow of people in the surrounding community and the highly praised coffee quality of the small shop have enabled Yibei Coffee to achieve a sales performance of around 150-200 cups per day in just one week of opening, achieving profitability. Yibei Coffee is an exploration of the "public welfare+commercial" disability assistance model.
Hou Liang works with new employees.
The Yunnan Poverty Alleviation Zone in our small shop offers beautifully designed and high-quality poverty alleviation and agricultural products.
The small shop quickly became a gathering place for nearby disabled friends to exchange work and life service information.
The small shop has a dignified and stylish storefront. After coordination and arrangement by the street, the small shop has set up a small platform that is open to the outside. It is expected to provide consumers with an outdoor space in half a month, while also opening a delivery window.
The largest area on the first floor of Neighborhood Hui is naturally reserved for the function of the community cafeteria. The cafeteria in the neighborhood of Tushanwan is decorated with a stylish style, with all tables rounded and chairs designed with swivel chairs. These hidden details are all designed to provide a safer and more convenient dining environment for the elderly population.
At 4:30 pm, as soon as the cafeteria opened, many people came to dine.
The special dish on that day, Benbang Sauce Duck Leg, was only 9 yuan, and the whole steamed sea bass was the "price ceiling" of all dishes, which was only 18 yuan.
The community cafeteria has utilized many new technologies. In addition to the cooking robot in the kitchen, there is also an automatic recognition machine at the checkout counter. The machine can generate prices through image recognition of dishes, improve payment efficiency, and slow down the queue flow during peak periods.
On the second floor, the shoe repairman Gu Wenwen is repairing the heels of a pair of women's leather shoes. From Monday to Sunday, the "Lao Chenguang" convenience booth here has different types of convenience craftsmen setting up stalls every day. The service includes four types: home appliance repair, clothing ironing, sewing repair, and sharpening knife cutting.
Outside the window behind Master Gu is a small terrace with exquisite bonsai and a wide view, where various community entertainment activities can be organized.
There are also public washing machines, drying machines, and convenient hair salons next to the convenience service stalls, all of which are very affordable in price.
Small libraries are open to citizens. Everyone can quietly read, work, and watch their children do homework here.
The children's activity space is paved with floor mats and has a beautiful environment. On weekdays in the morning and noon, many parents bring their children to play. There are a variety of toys on the closet here, and children can play here for a long time.
The activity room on the second floor features a warm wood color as the main tone, equipped with a blackboard, tables and chairs, and glass partitions, meeting the needs of various entertainment and public welfare courses. At present, many neighborhood committees and community choirs have reserved rehearsal times.
The toilet design is also quite thoughtful. The second floor is equipped with an accessible toilet and a mother and baby room.
The third floor serves as a community health service station. Every day, there are general practitioners and nurses on standby here, and the surrounding residents have a headache and need to prepare some commonly used medicines. There is no need to queue up, and the needs can be solved at the doorstep.
There are doctors and nurses on duty here from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm every day.
The health station has a traditional Chinese medicine specialty consultation room that can provide patients with various traditional Chinese medicine therapy services. The professional services provided are not only affordable, but also covered by medical insurance. 90% of the expenses are reimbursed through the medical insurance account, which translates to only 2 yuan per cupping session.
The health station is also equipped with complete limb rehabilitation equipment for nearby disabled residents to receive rehabilitation therapy.
The facilities of elderly assisted bathing points in the health station are also very well-equipped. Neighborhood Hui collaborated with elderly care institutions to "crack down" on the price of assisted bathing. For only 3 yuan, the elderly can enjoy a bath assistance service.
The Tushanwan Party and Mass Service Center · Neighborhood Hui has been operating for a week and has gained increasing popularity.
