This undisturbed public welfare tea stall has arrived. The tea drinker has moved to the community outside the door | Space | Public Welfare
A tea stall was set up in front of the gate at 838 Zhongshan North Road, with a stack of paper cups placed next to a 5-liter tea barrel for easy access. This is a public tea stall launched by Tengyi Space, which provides free takeout, delivery drivers, cleaning staff, and nearby community residents with a drink of hydrolyzed tea to relieve fatigue during hot weather.
Occasionally, people come to drink tea.
The idea of opening a public welfare tea stall comes from Teng Dixie, a representative of the People's Congress of Jing'an District. It is a fulcrum for "Tengyi Space" to effectively extend to the community, and also a beneficial exploration for the contact point of the People's Congress representatives and cooperation with enterprises in the jurisdiction.
Quickly, his idea received a response from the street merchant Wang Hua. It was during the dog days, and outdoor workers and elderly shoppers must have needs. At first, they placed this tea stall in an air-conditioned room, thinking that they could come in and sit down, drink water, incubate the air conditioning, and listen to the voices of the people while resting and chatting.
However, not many people walked in, and even if they did, they were not here to drink tea. So Tengdick set up a billboard and moved the public welfare tea stall outside the door. The first person to come and drink tea was Xiaozhang, a Meituan takeout guy who was separated by several storefronts. "When I passed by, I saw a bucket with the words' Public Welfare Tea Stall 'written on it. Now I have time to come and try it out," he said. The tea was served at a suitable temperature, which is definitely better than plain water.
A ceremonial opening ceremony.
Xiao Zhang not only drank tea but also curiously entered the store. Several residents deep inside the store were chatting with Teng Dixie about community affairs. The first "livelihood problem" that Tengyi Space received was that the children who were on summer vacation were competing with the elderly in the community for activity space. The children were lively and active, while the elderly were quiet. It was inevitable for the elderly and young to have "bumps and bumps" when carrying out activities in the same space. The residents asked if it was possible to find another activity point so that separate activities would not affect each other, and safety was also guaranteed. Tengdick invited the secretary of the Xiehe residential area in Zhijiang West Road Street to discuss and soon came up with a solution. The elderly stayed at the Neighborhood Center for activities, while the children were given a room by the neighborhood committee to open a game classroom, allowing them to spend the summer vacation in peace of mind.
Tengdick works in a tea city, and he has his own set of tea to quench his thirst and fatigue in hot weather. The public welfare tea stand is set up at 8:30am and serves until 8:00pm. Merchant Wang Hua also takes on the responsibility of adding tea, cleaning tea barrels, and providing disposable paper cups.
Xiaozhang walked into Tengyi Space for the first time and gave suggestions to the representative with a trial mindset.
Xiao Zhang immediately put forward his own idea. Electric vehicles are not allowed to enter the neighboring residential area for takeout, and it is easy to miss orders during the rush hour for food delivery. Can we ask representatives to coordinate with residents to enter the community. Tengdick took the order, understood the situation first, and then proposed a solution. The two of them added WeChat, and he invited Xiao Zhang to come and sit down whenever he had time.
Master Jiang, the courier, finished his tea in 5 seconds and said, "It's quite nice and not disturbed by anyone. It's the first time I've seen such a tea stand. I often come here in hot weather!" As he went back and forth, the tea stand attracted many outdoor workers.
A public tea stall leverages multiple stakeholders to participate in social governance and builds a bridge between representatives and the masses.
