This exhibition is the second exhibition of the "Contemporary China Maritime Equipment Series Exhibition" launched by the China Maritime Museum, following the "Blue Ship Theory". The exhibition is divided into four parts: "Comprehensive Science Examination", "Professional Science Examination", "Special Science Examination", and "Guarding the Blue Ocean". From the perspectives of technology, equipment, and nature, it focuses on showcasing the brilliant achievements of contemporary China's marine science examination and deep diving industry, explaining the harmonious coexistence between humans and the ocean, strengthening ocean awareness education, and helping to promote the prosperity and development of marine culture.

This exhibition places great emphasis on the viewing experience of the audience, creating scenes such as the Deep Sea World, Coastal Wetlands, Giant Algae Forest, Jellyfish Lightbox, Colorful Coral Reef, Polar World, Aerospace Surveying, and the "Blue Beauty" Magic Wall, aiming to bring an immersive viewing experience to the audience. In addition, interactive exhibition items such as "measuring seawater salinity and temperature", "shell family", "shell classification", "underwater treasure hunting", and "taking photos with penguin families" have been set up, allowing visitors to master more ocean knowledge through hands-on experience.

The exhibition showcases numerous contemporary models of maritime heavy vessels, such as the "Struggler", "Jiaolong", "Dongfanghong 3", "Xuelong 2", "Yuanwang 6", "Dayang 1", and emergency rescue procedures, as well as precious biological specimens such as tortoises, sea turtles, spotted seals, hammerhead sharks, and Nautilus. Among them, the "Struggler" is a new type of manned deep-sea submersible independently designed and constructed by China. In 2020, it successfully sank to 10909 meters in the Mariana Trench, setting a new record for manned deep-sea diving in China. The Dongfanghong 3 is the world's largest silent scientific research vessel, with multiple internationally leading indicators, especially the highest level of low noise control indicators in the world. The emergency response process vividly demonstrates the process of saturated diving mother ships and divers rescuing the wrecked vessel, reflecting that China's saturated diving rescue and salvage technology has reached the international advanced level.
