Now, he provides 100 acres of land for productive scientific research for free every year, and the crab farming industry is thriving.

Wu Renfu mentioned that a few days ago, a breeding base in Shandong encountered insect infestation, and the water peanuts that provided a growth environment for crab seedlings were eaten up by the insects. This situation had never been encountered before. After consulting with Professor Cheng and conducting several rounds of experimental verification, he accompanied him to Shandong and used ecological prevention measures to protect the water peanuts at the base, resolving the crisis.

In his spare time, Wu Renfu sought advice on video editing techniques from graduate students at the Science and Technology Academy.
Mr. Lu, who was responsible for cooking for the students of the Science and Technology Academy, was also a crab fry farmer. Wu Renfu introduced Mr. Lu to the situation of his Changzhou base.
With the increasing popularity in the industry, there are also many people who come to poach Wu Renfu. Some offer an annual salary of one million yuan, but Wu Renfu still politely refuses. In his view, being able to stay at the forefront of crab seedling cultivation technology is the key to a greater future. He has to keep drilling in the crab pond of the Science and Technology Academy, and Professor Cheng has to keep taking the "scriptures" here.
It is understood that Shanghai Ocean University has built 7 science and technology academies, distributed in Shanghai, Zhejiang, Anhui, Fujian and other places. Currently, there are 3 PhDs and more than 10 Master's degree holders conducting long-term research on aquaculture technology at Chongming Science and Technology Academy in Shanghai. On the basis of completing relevant experiments, they guide farmers on how to carry out rice crayfish farming, rice Chinese mitten crab farming, and rice shrimp crab mixed farming. They also actively communicate and exchange ideas with farmers, answer their questions, and solve the problems they encounter during the farming process. In response to the aquaculture challenges raised by farmers, they designed targeted experiments to overcome them and evaluated the ecosystem service value of different rice fishing modes. Practice "industry academia research" in the crab ponds of farmers, cultivating applied talents that can be used by enterprises.
