With the approval of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission have launched a case review and investigation into Zheng Hong, former Deputy Secretary and Deputy Director of the Party Group of the Standing Committee of the Chongqing Municipal People's Congress and former Chairman of the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, for serious violations of discipline and law.
After investigation, Zheng Hong lost his ideals and beliefs, deviated from the principles of party spirit, violated the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee on trade union work, and privately bestowed honors on the Party and the state; Ignoring the spirit of the central eight point regulations, illegally accepting banquets and golf activities arranged by private entrepreneurs, and organizing public funded banquets in violation of regulations; Violation of organizational principles, failure to report personal matters in accordance with regulations, failure to truthfully explain issues during organizational inquiries, and seeking benefits for others in work such as cadre promotion; Violating regulations by accepting gifts and using power to seek benefits for family business activities; Violation of regulations and interference in judicial activities; Moral corruption; Without any awareness of discipline and law, using public power as a tool for personal gain, using their position to facilitate others in business operations, engineering contracting, etc., and illegally accepting huge amounts of property.
Zheng Hong seriously violated the political discipline, organizational discipline, integrity discipline, work discipline, and life discipline of the Party, constituted serious violations of his duties, and was suspected of accepting bribes or using his influence to commit bribery crimes. He also did not restrain himself or stop after the 18th National Congress of the Party, with a serious nature and a bad impact, and should be dealt with seriously. In accordance with the Regulations of the CPC on Disciplinary Actions, the Supervision Law of the People's Republic of China, the Law of the People's Republic of China on Administrative Actions against Public Officials and other relevant provisions, after discussion at the meeting of the Standing Committee of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and reported to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China for approval, Zheng Hong was decided to be expelled from the Party; Cancel the benefits enjoyed by them according to regulations; Confiscate their illegal gains from disciplinary violations; Transfer the suspected criminal issues to the procuratorial organs for legal review and prosecution, and transfer the involved property together.
