This high school, located in the revolutionary old area of the Dabie Mountains, has 20 young students admitted to the military academy this year.
"Uncle, I have been admitted to the National University of Defense Technology." After receiving the admission notice, Ye Dashan immediately shared his inner joy and pride with his uncle who was far away in the military camp.
"I have always regarded my uncle as a role model and wanted to become a soldier like him. Choosing a military academy is not only a dream, but also a legacy," said Ye Dashan.
Yezhai Middle School is located in the revolutionary old area of the Dabie Mountains. The people here have always regarded respecting the military and patriotism as a good family tradition passed down from generation to generation. Ding Guangguang, 69 years old this year, is a retired veteran who often tells his military stories to younger generations. Under the influence of ear and eye, the seeds of serving the country in the army quietly planted in the hearts of his grandson Ding Wanglei and granddaughter Yu Ziyan. This year, the two were respectively admitted to the Strategic Support Force Aerospace Engineering University and the Naval Medical University.

While other students were still immersed in the leisurely time of the summer after the college entrance examination, Fang Xinhao and Nie Jiarui had already devoted themselves to military training by practicing queues, physical fitness, style, and courage. At the end of July this year, a military Y-20 aircraft arrived in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province to transport newly admitted flight students from the East China region for the year 2023 to the Air Force Aviation University for registration, and began a two month new training program.
When asked about his training experience, Nie Jiarui said, "Since he is determined to serve the country in the military, no matter how difficult the training may be, he must bravely move forward."

In June 2022, Yezhai High School invited an alumnus from the University of National Defense Technology to give a speech at his alma mater. Yu Jianxian, deeply moved by the content of the report, has been determined to apply to this military academy since then.
