On the occasion of the one-year anniversary of the Global Development High Level Dialogue, the Progress Report on the Implementation of Global Development Initiatives was released in Beijing. Half of the 32 practical measures have been implemented or achieved early results, the total number of practical cooperation projects in the project library has exceeded 100, and nearly 40 developing countries are benefiting from them... China's series of practical measures to promote global development initiatives have brought tangible benefits to countries, especially developing countries.

Development is an eternal theme of human society and a broad consensus among countries around the world under the current situation. As the world's largest developing country, China has always placed its own development in the coordinate system of human development, creating new opportunities for world development through its own development, and spare no effort to provide Chinese wisdom for accelerating the implementation of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, injecting Chinese momentum into promoting global common development.

Urgent to solve development problems. China empathizes with the poverty and suffering of other developing countries. For a long time, China has provided support to developing countries in solving their urgent development problems through various forms. China has established and jointly implemented aid projects with nearly 20 international organizations and non-governmental organizations, including the United Nations Development Programme, through channels such as the Global Development and South South Cooperation Fund and the China United Nations Peace and Development Fund, benefiting millions of people in over 100 countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America, and other regions. Since October 2021, the "China United Nations Peace and Development Fund" has established two batches of projects under the sub fund for implementing the 2030 Agenda, meeting the practical needs of many developing countries. Saisana Sitipong, Executive Vice Chairman of the Laos China Cooperation Committee, said that the global development initiative fully embodies the concept of putting people at the center and is a vivid practice of building a community with a shared future for mankind in the field of development.

Teach people to fish and enhance their development capabilities. China is increasing cooperation in technology and human resource development, adhering to the principle of promoting development through knowledge, strengthening the sharing and exchange of development knowledge and experience, and contributing Chinese experience and solutions to the capacity building of developing countries. China assists Grenada in formulating national development strategic plans; Provide policy advice on special economic zones and state-owned enterprise reforms for Zimbabwe; Assist Cambodia in formulating national road network plans and modern agricultural development plans. China helps developing countries enhance their technological innovation capabilities and industrial vocational skills by sharing scientific and technological achievements, promoting technology transfer, and enhancing vocational skills. Over the past year, the Chinese government has initiated and arranged 1000 human resource development cooperation projects, providing 20000 training slots, covering almost all countries of the Friends of the Global Development Initiative. Egyptian Ambassador to China Hanafi expressed sincere gratitude to China for sharing development knowledge with other countries, and firmly believed that the global development initiative will effectively help countries promote the common cause of implementing the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, becoming a platform for sharing development experience and promoting cooperation among countries.

Win win cooperation and promote common development. China actively promotes global development and international development cooperation, provides important public goods to the world, and provides action guidelines for countries to focus on development, unite development, and achieve common development. In December 2021, the whole line of Laos China Railway, the landmark project of the joint construction of the "the Belt and Road", will be put into operation, and Laos' dream of becoming a land locked country and a land linked country will finally come true. Ten years after the proposal of the "the Belt and Road" initiative, more than three-quarters of the world's countries and 32 international organizations have been attracted to participate in it, stimulating investment of nearly a trillion dollars, forming more than 3000 cooperation projects, creating 420000 jobs for countries along the line, and helping 40 million people out of poverty. The Global Development Initiative has become another public good provided by China to the international community. In the past two years, its concept connotation has been continuously enriched, the implementation mechanism has been continuously improved, the promotion path has become clearer, and pragmatic cooperation has gradually been implemented. At present, more than 100 countries and international organizations have supported the initiative, and nearly 70 countries have participated in the Global Development Initiative Friends Group.
