A shop assistant weighing 280 pounds refused to fight back after being beaten: to avoid being identified as a physical altercation
On August 9th, Mr. Li, a male shop assistant weighing 280 pounds in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, revealed that he had been beaten by a stranger and never fought back. The video shows Mr. Li sitting outside the convenience store to cool off. A man walked up to the store to retrieve his shared power bank, but did not take it out for the first time. He kicked the charging device. Mr. Li said on the side, "Even if you kick it hard, you can't kick it out." When the man went to scan the code again to retrieve the power bank, his phone ran out of battery, which sparked anger towards Mr. Li. The two sides had an argument, and the man punched him in the head before fleeing the scene. Mr. Li said he never fought back because he was worried about being identified as a physical altercation and didn't want to cause trouble for the store owner. On the 10th, the Sanqiao New Street Police Station responded that they had intervened in the investigation.
