Why does Hangzhou still carry out artificial rainfall, as it is about to enter the plum blossom season? Entering the precipitation concentration period affects | weather | precipitation
Latest news from the Provincial Meteorological Observatory: After expert consultation, there will be a large-scale rainfall process from the night of the 17th to the 20th, and Zhejiang may enter the plum blossom season on the 18th! Let's take a look at the future weather.
Zhejiang Meteorological Observatory:
On June 18th, the whole province may enter the plum blossom season in one fell swoop
The rainy season in Zhejiang is usually on June 8th, and this year's rainy season has been delayed for a while.
From the night of the 17th to the 20th, there will be a precipitation process affected by the system, with showers or thunderstorms in Zhejiang Province. In the mid-term stage, it will enter a period of concentrated precipitation. This round of rainfall may bring the plum blossom to Zhejiang on the 18th.
Hangzhou has been experiencing frequent afternoon thunderstorms recently
The decrease in daily maximum temperature
Recently, the localized characteristics of thunderstorms in Hangzhou have been prominent. The Municipal Meteorological Observatory predicts that it will be cloudy in Hangzhou today, with locally cloudy showers or thunderstorms from afternoon to night; Tomorrow will be cloudy to overcast, with some urban areas experiencing showers or thunderstorms in the afternoon.
Starting from the day after tomorrow, as a stronger cold air replenishes and moves southward, while the tropical depression at sea weakens and moves eastward, water vapor can be smoothly transported over Zhejiang. When it intersects with the cold air, it will bring about a larger precipitation process.
The cold air also brings about cooling, and the highest daily temperature in Hangzhou will remain around 30 ℃ in the next week.
A decrease in temperature is certainly a good thing, but strong convective weather also has to be prevented. It's best to hang clothes on the balcony in the past few days to avoid sudden thunderstorms that may catch people off guard.
