The torch of the Hangzhou Asian Games, named "Fireworks"
The design of the fire outlet comes from the earliest oracle bone script shape of "Cong", which means "light starts from the inner circle"

Torch crown, characterized by the meaning of jade cong, blends square and circle, standing proudly
The torch shape grows from bottom to top, with an overall height of 730 millimeters and a net weight of 1200 grams. Juji, with eight water veins as the veins of civilization, represents the eight major water systems in Zhejiang; Torch body, evolved from Liangzhu spiral pattern, resembling fingerprints, naturally interwoven, exquisite and delicate; Torch crown, characterized by the meaning of jade cong, blends square and circle, standing proudly; The design of the fire outlet originates from the earliest oracle bone script shape of "Cong", which means "light starts from the inner circle"; The overall contour curve is like holding firewood, bursting with an outward fusion of athlete strength and convergence in the midst of movement and stillness.
"Fireworks" symbolizes the inheritance of Chinese civilization's flame. The torch is represented by jade cong, with human history and mountain scenery as its backbone. It not only pays tribute to and inherits Chinese culture, but also showcases the real, three-dimensional, and comprehensive ancient, modern, and future China to the world, making the holy land of Chinese civilization shine with even more brilliant light.

Design details of the "Guiguan" torch
The design concept of "Guiguan" originates from Liangzhu Jade Cong and Hangzhou City Flower - Osmanthus, respecting Liangzhu Jade Cong as the cultural origin, connecting heaven and earth with rituals, and connecting ancient and modern ways; The fragrance of Hangzhou osmanthus permeates the competition, symbolizing the concept of sunshine, harmony, self-improvement, and sharing. The shape of the torch is refined with "cong" as its core semantic meaning, showing a trend of connecting the past and the future: upward symbiosis, with scattered starlight surging into the waves of Jin Guihua, forging the torch crown; Extending downwards, the long cultural context emits a light of wisdom, converging into a torch base; The top is designed with a double-layer hollow metal flame opening, ensuring lightweight and safety, with a strong and stable flame.

A large number of jade artifacts were unearthed from the Liangzhu site, with a particularly large number of jade congs. Yucong is a typical artifact of Liangzhu culture, and its significance can be explained in various ways, such as symbolizing the roundness of the sky and the place, and being used as a sacrificial ritual tool. Liangzhu used the jade ritual vessel system to maintain political stability and social development, becoming the precursor of Chinese ritual civilization.

One of the mascots of the Hangzhou Asian Games: Congcong
"Congcong" represents the world heritage site of Liangzhu Ancient City in the shape of a robot. Its name comes from the representative cultural relic jade cong unearthed from the Liangzhu Ancient City site. The whole body is mainly colored in yellow, which originates from the earth and symbolizes harvest. The decorative pattern on the head is taken from the iconic symbol of Liangzhu culture, "God Man Beast Face Pattern," which means "not afraid of difficulties and surpassing oneself.".

The finely carved image of the combination of human and ring eyed fangs on the jade cong unearthed from the Liangzhu Culture Anti Mountain Cemetery is commonly referred to as the "divine human animal face" image. This complete image is commonly seen on the highest level jade artifacts within the Liangzhu Site Group, known as the "divine emblem" of Liangzhu culture.

The mascot of the Asian Para Games, "Fei Fei"
The design inspiration for the mascot of the Asian Paralympic Games, "Feifei," comes from the image of a "divine bird" in Liangzhu culture. She integrates Hangzhou's history, culture, and technological innovation, and also carries the hope of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature. The mythical bird has a legend in China that conveys good news, and it is also a messenger of culture and happiness.
The wings of "Fei Fei" extend to the cheeks with the Liangzhu Culture emblem, and the raised wings showcase the beauty of power. The "i" on the bird's crown represents "intelligence". It is a symbol of intelligence and wisdom, and also reflects the characteristics of Hangzhou, an Internet city. It will emit blue light when moving and having fun. The circular shape composed of 45 points on the chest symbolizes the joyful gathering of members of the Asian Paralympic Committee.

Venue design

As a table tennis competition venue for the Hangzhou Asian Games, the building design of the museum is inspired by the "Jade Cong" of Liangzhu culture. The exterior color is consistent with the Asian Games mascot "Cong Cong", and is composed of yellow anodized aluminum oxide and diagonal grid glass curtain walls. The venue has a construction area of approximately 21000 square meters and is divided into three floors, one underground and two above ground, with a total of approximately 7000 audience seats.
In order to achieve the shape design of "jade cong" in project construction, Wu Mingxi, the project leader of the Canal Asian Games Park, said that there is not a single column in the entire venue. The outer walls are made of steel frame structures, and the roof is made of spherical grid structures. The longest span of the roof steel frame is about 130 meters, and the span of the competition venue is about 90 meters. There are a total of 15 units, 4201 members, and 570 tons of steel for the grid structure. The total amount of steel used is 2500 tons. The upper part is a spatial grid structure, and the lower part is a single-layer variable surface curved twisted diagonal grid structure, which has a complex design shape and high construction difficulty.
