In 1980, two large painted bronze chariots and horses were unearthed on the west side of the the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor. Each chariot had four horses in front of it, and each one had a figurine of imperial officials. The bronze chariots and horses have lifelike shapes and exquisite decorations, using a large amount of gold and silver as ornaments and components. They are exquisitely crafted and are known as the "crown of bronze".

We use a combination of spray anti wrinkle and reinforcement agents to protect the residual color painting layer of the terracotta warriors, and then wrap it with cling film. After the color painting layer stabilizes, the cling film can be removed, and the color painting can be preserved. This is also an important reason why the 'true color Qin terracotta warriors' can be preserved," said Tian Jing, Vice President of the Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum Museum.
