Where are we going for fitness? The official plan is here! Facilities | Fitness | Program
In order to accelerate the resolution of the difficult problem of "where to go for fitness" for the masses, the General Office of the General Administration of Sport, together with the Office of the National Development and Reform Commission, the Office of the Ministry of Finance, the Office of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Rural Development, and the Office of the People's Bank of China, recently issued the "Action Plan for Improving National Fitness Venues and Facilities", and launched the implementation of the "Action Plan for Improving National Fitness Venues and Facilities".
It is reported that the "National Fitness Venues and Facilities Improvement Action" will focus on carrying out four major actions: strengthening the foundation of fitness facilities, improving quality, providing excellent services, and increasing efficiency and benefits. It will expand the increment of fitness facilities, improve the quality of fitness facilities, make good use of the existing fitness facilities, and improve the level of open service and comprehensive utilization efficiency of fitness facilities; According to the plan, by 2025, the public fitness facilities and community 15 minute fitness circles at the county and rural levels will achieve full coverage, and mass sports events based on fitness facilities will become more popular. The service level and utilization efficiency of public fitness facilities will be further improved.
In addition, the work plan also proposes that newly built fitness facilities in various regions should, in principle, be 100% equipped with fitness facilities for the elderly and children. At the same time, in combination with urban renewal work such as the renovation of old residential areas and the construction of complete communities, embedded fitness facilities will be built along the "golden corners and silver edges" of the city to build a multi-level and diversified fitness circle around the people.
The General Administration of Sport of China stated that the next step will be to work together with the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Rural Development, and the People's Bank of China to coordinate and utilize various funding channels, establish and improve incentive mechanisms, increase supervision efforts, accelerate the resolution of the problem of "where to go for fitness" for the masses, and promote the construction of a higher-level public service system for national fitness.
