When they were discovered floating at sea, they were rescued 12 hours after being lost and disappeared? Guangdong Coach with Four Tourists Diving Club | Diving | Guangdong
On July 9th, five divers in Huizhou were rescued after losing contact for 12 hours. Several local diving clubs have stated that diving services near Shuangyue Bay are currently suspended, and specific details will be notified.
This afternoon, staff from Guangdong Maritime Safety Administration confirmed to Orange Persimmon Interactive that five missing individuals were indeed rescued in the nearby waters.
Rescue personnel will transfer the rescued individuals ashore and send them for medical examination, according to today's Huizhou website
Huizhou Emergency Management Bureau:
Further investigation is needed regarding this matter
Whether the disconnection is related to "no signal from communication tools" needs to be confirmed
Among the five people rescued, there was one male diving coach, two male tourists, and two female tourists.
On the same day, the missing person dived around 11am, and three others were waiting on the ship. The five divers were originally planned to float around 12am, but after more than an hour of diving, their companions on board did not notice the five divers floating.
According to Huizhou Daily, after discovering the loss of contact with their companions, the companions on board contacted shore rescue forces and piloted another sightseeing boat, "Fuyunda 045", to search for the waters near the diving area but were unsuccessful. At 16:24 pm, one of the tourists sought help from the Huizhou Maritime Emergency Search and Rescue Center.
After receiving the alarm, the Huizhou Maritime Safety Bureau immediately dispatched the "Haixun 0938" ship to the scene.
The water area where the incident occurred is about 18.5 nautical miles away from Daxing Mountain in Huizhou, with a southwest wind of level 4 and a wave height of nearly 1 meter.
After the professional rescue team arrived at the scene, it had been nearly 7 hours since the divers were lost, making it difficult to determine the accurate coordinates of the lost personnel. The maritime law enforcement personnel of Huizhou Maritime Safety Administration conducted a comprehensive analysis of the wind direction, seawater flow velocity, and other data in the incident area based on the drift prediction map, and quickly simulated the drift path and approximate direction of the missing personnel.
At 23:05 pm, under the command of Huizhou Maritime Safety Bureau, "Helian Oil 19" discovered suspicious lights on the simulated drift path and reported them. Subsequently, on-site search and rescue forces carried out rescue operations.
Afterwards, the "Haixun 0938" ship successfully rescued all 5 missing personnel about 20 nautical miles northeast of Pintou Rock. After examination, the vital signs of the five people were stable. Rescue personnel transferred the rescued individuals ashore and sent them for medical examination.
This afternoon, relevant personnel from the Emergency Management Bureau Office of Huizhou City stated that currently, the five people who have been lost are in good physical condition. For this loss, relevant departments will continue to investigate and further confirm whether it is due to "no signal from communication tools".

Multiple local divers:
The missing person was found floating at sea
Currently, going out to sea is prohibited locally
It is reported that at 10:00 am on July 9th, 8 tourists boarded the sightseeing boat "Fuyunda 066" and set off from the dock in Gangkou Town, Huidong County, Huizhou City to dive in the waters of Pintouyan.
This afternoon, Orange Persimmon Interactive contacted several local diving clubs, all of whom stated that they are currently unable to dive in Shuangyue Bay and will wait for further notice.
A staff member of a snorkeling club said that the requirements for deep diving are relatively high, and we only do snorkeling here, with safety as the priority. "Our snorkeling area is in Xiaoxingshan, and currently the water quality here is good, just 'glass water'. The water quality is the best in the morning."
A staff member of a local diving club specializing in deep diving said that their diving area is near Xiaoxing Mountain, and the person who lost contact the other day was in the sea area near Daxing Mountain.
"After this incident, we cannot go out to sea now, and we cannot even sail from the dock."
According to this staff member's understanding, when the missing individuals were discovered, they were all floating at sea. "The water flow in the sea over Daxingshan is relatively strong, and the oxygen cylinders they carry can usually be used for one or two hours."

"We can't dive now. Usually, oxygen cylinders, diving suits, and diving suits are essential for diving here. If you go diving by yourself, it's definitely not recommended," said a staff member from another local diving center.
Some netizens have noticed that if a person is lost at sea for more than 12 hours, won't it be cold?
A diving club staff member said that diving often feels very cold. Usually, diving involves wearing wet clothes, which can form a water film between the body surface and clothes, reducing heat transfer between the body surface and water, and providing some warmth.
"In addition to providing some warmth, wet clothing can also reduce the body's buoyancy."
The other party also stated that if tourists do not know how to swim, they can usually dive, and the diving club has a dedicated one-on-one companion.
