The Forestry Bureau of Yunfu City, Guangdong Province recently announced that on the basis of fully establishing a four level forest chief responsibility system, Yunfu City has taken the lead in fully restoring independent city and county forestry bureaus.
Pengpai News noticed that in March this year, Chen Tong, the deputy chief of the Forestry Workstation Management Station of the State Forestry and Grassland Administration, and others went to Yunfu City to conduct research on township forestry stations. The research team emphasized that each region should be guided by local actual needs, comprehensively consider the ecological location and forestry construction tasks of the region, formulate different policies based on actual conditions, and ensure that forestry management work continues to improve and the level does not decline after institutional reform.

It is under the unified leadership and management of the Neijiang Natural Resources Planning Bureau, and its responsibilities for forest, grassland, wetland supervision and management, wildlife and plant protection, as well as the management of nature reserves, scenic spots, natural heritage, and geological parks are transferred to the Neijiang Forestry Bureau. The Neijiang Natural Resources Planning Bureau will no longer display the Neijiang Forestry Bureau logo. In the 2019 institutional reform, the responsibilities of the Neijiang Forestry Bureau were transferred to the Municipal Natural Resources and Planning Bureau, and the Municipal Forestry Bureau will no longer retain them.

At present, the forestry authorities in all 14 districts and cities in the region are independent institutions. Among the 111 county forestry authorities, 79 counties have been established as separate institutions, accounting for 71.17%.
