Recently, at the invitation of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ambassadors from 25 countries including Dominica, Myanmar, and Iran visited Urumqi, Kashgar, and Aksu regions in Xinjiang to have in-depth exchanges with local residents of various ethnic groups and experience the economic and social development of Xinjiang on the spot. The local residents played traditional Uyghur instruments such as the Rewap and hand drums, and presented enthusiastic singing and dancing performances for the visiting delegation.
After the musical instrument producer Nurdong Simayi finished his performance, Mexican Embassy Counselor in China, Edo Dolbecker, purchased a traditional Uyghur instrument called Dutar from him. In Urumqi, the envoys to China visited the new campus of Xinjiang Islamic School of Economics. The supporting facilities here are complete, and the construction funds include 250 million yuan allocated by the central government and 30 million yuan allocated by the autonomous region. Since 2017, the School of Economics has also established eight colleges in northern and southern Xinjiang, including Kashgar Branch and Ili Branch.
It is reported that the envoys followed Abudurekfu Tumuniyazi, the dean of Xinjiang Islamic Academy, to visit classrooms, libraries, student dormitories, and worship halls to understand its educational situation. The curriculum here is divided into three major sections: religious knowledge, constitutional law, and cultural history. After graduation, some students will work in the School of Economics and its branches or more than 100 Islamic associations, some will serve in various mosques to meet the normal religious needs of religious believers, and some will continue their studies in the graduate program of the Chinese Islamic Association.

In the library, the dean of the School of Economics presented the envoys with multilingual translations of the Quran. He introduced that there are over 5800 books on minority languages that can meet the needs of students for religious knowledge, as well as over 30000 electronic versions. In the chapel, the dean of the Jingyuan College elaborated on the specific regulations formulated in accordance with the Constitution on the freedom of religious belief and the protection of normal religious activities to the envoys.
