On June 28th, the world's first 16 MW offshore wind turbine was successfully lifted from the Three Gorges Group offshore wind farm in the northern waters of Fujian. This marks the overall improvement of China's high-end equipment manufacturing capacity for offshore wind power, as well as the far-reaching construction of offshore wind power throughout the entire industry chain, reaching an international leading level. The key component of wind turbines - wind turbines - was jointly developed by CRRC and customers in Zhuzhou, Hunan, achieving a technological breakthrough in miniaturization of large capacity motors.

On June 30th, China's first 10000 ton photovoltaic hydrogen production project, the Sinopec Xinjiang Kuche Green Hydrogen Demonstration Project, was put into operation. The project utilizes the abundant solar energy resources in Xinjiang region to generate electricity and produce hydrogen, with a purity of 99.9%. It has an electrolytic water hydrogen production capacity of 20000 tons/year, a hydrogen storage capacity of 210000 standard cubic meters, and a hydrogen transmission capacity of 28000 standard cubic meters/hour. This marks the first industrial application of large-scale photovoltaic direct hydrogen production process and engineering technology in China. The production process basically does not produce greenhouse gases, creating a new path for green hydrogen refining.

On July 2nd, the largest new energy cross river transmission channel in China, the 500 kV power transmission and transformation project from Fengcheng, Taizhou, Jiangsu to Meili, Wuxi, was officially completed and put into operation. It is expected that the maximum annual power transmission will exceed 26 billion kilowatt hours, greatly enhancing the cross river transmission capacity of new energy on both sides of the Yangtze River.

This project is a key project of the 13th Five Year Plan of the country. The construction lasted for nearly three years, and two 385-meter transmission towers were built, spanning the Yangtze River with a span of 2550 meters. The total length of the line is 178 kilometers.

The Shaoxing Central and Northern Power Grid Optimization Project is a key project for the construction of the Zhejiang Yingfeng Summer Power Grid in 2023. It started construction on September 26, 2022, involving six 500 kV substations in Zhejiang Province, with a new line of 88.5 kilometers. After operation, it will further optimize the backbone grid structure in the central and eastern parts of Zhejiang, enhance the ± 800 kV Shaoxing Converter Station East Transmission Channel and the Lingshao and Baihetan DC transmission capacities, and effectively alleviate the power supply pressure during the Zhejiang Yingfeng Summer period.
