In the past decade, Shibadong Village has overcome millennium poverty and created the "Shibadong Experience" for poverty alleviation, embarking on a new journey of building a demonstration village for rural revitalization.
I have experienced poverty and backwardness in my hometown, and I have made every effort to step out of the mountains and see the vast world. I have also witnessed the earth shattering changes brought about by "precision poverty alleviation". With joy and pride, I occasionally wonder: What can I do for my hometown? Encouraged by my family, I quit my job in a big city and returned to Shiba Dong Village in 2020.
With great enthusiasm, my friends and I worked together to create the first live broadcast room in Shibadong Village, selling the village's specialty agricultural products such as cured meat, honey, and kiwifruit to all corners of the world through the internet. With the popularization of 5G and gigabit networks in the village, our live streaming room has entered the green mountains and clear waters. The beautiful scenery, Miao ethnic culture, and daily life in the village have all become our live streaming materials.
I am well aware that in order for the good policies of the Party to bloom and bear fruit in remote Miao villages, and for the villagers to move forward on the road to poverty alleviation and prosperity, it is necessary to enrich the strength of the youth. We have taken the construction of the Youth League organization as the starting point, and through joint efforts, a large number of young people have returned with hope. Nowadays, in Shibadong Village, there are young people rushing and working on the front line in industries such as specialty planting, specialty breeding, Miao embroidery, labor economy, and rural tourism. These returnees, who were once beneficiaries of targeted poverty alleviation, are now fighters for rural revitalization.
For Shibadong Village, every day now is a new starting point, and we are the people who create new starting points. We should not only adhere to the concept of system, fully, accurately and comprehensively implement the new development concept, but also focus on relying on the national, ecological, cultural, industrial and other characteristics of advantages, to create a regional differentiation, precision, and characteristics of rural revitalization and development path, and constantly stimulate the convergence of Chinese path to modernization.
