At around 12:00 on July 31st, the railway department decided to transfer all passengers of the K396 train to safe haven, and more than 700 passengers were dispersed to the local neighborhood committee, railway engineering area, and residents' homes. Among the passengers, there are 43 children participating in postgraduate studies, all aged around 11 to 13, who board the train from Wuhai, Hohhot, Baotou and other places in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, accompanied by only 3 female teachers. During the transportation process, everyone spontaneously left the community auditorium with relatively good conditions for their use.

Hard work pays off for those who have a heart, and after taking the right medicine, the child received timely treatment. As of 10:00 am on August 2nd, over 900 passengers and 44 staff members who have been resettled are in good physical condition.

In order to let passengers eat hot food, the staff of train Z180 went to the battle, put the plastic bags on the train's head and used them as raincoats, borrowed the only gas cans from the nearby villagers in the rainstorm, set up a pot to cook eggs and porridge for passengers, so that everyone could eat hot food. The food was limited, and the train staff gave it to the elderly and children, but they didn't even bother to eat a bite.

They took the initiative to drive the train back more than 200 meters to a safe location to stop. After the entire vehicle was transferred to the resettlement site, two drivers left food for passengers in a situation of material shortage; The evacuation space was limited, so the two of them gave up the limited auditorium space to passengers while staying under the eaves to avoid the rain. At night, the wind and rain were strong, and the two of them spent the night in the restroom next to the auditorium.

Train K1178 was temporarily detained at Yanhecheng Station on the Fengsha Line for a day, and by noon on July 31st, all the food on board had been used up. Seven staff members at Yanhecheng Station were hungry and delivered the remaining two bags of flour to the car. The train staff turned flour into noodles and prioritized distributing them to over 170 key passengers, including the elderly and children.

On the noon of July 30th, train K1178 was urgently detained at Yanhe City Station. A temporary party branch consisting of three party members and four party members and passengers was immediately established on the train. One volunteer was recruited in each carriage to cooperate in distributing materials, maintaining order, and comforting passengers. Especially during the period of train distress, when passengers experienced multiple rounds of emotional fluctuations, it was repeatedly promoted that the train stopped to ensure passenger safety and played a good role in calming their emotions.

At around 13:30 on July 31st, six staff members from Luopo Ridge Station and K396 train attendants, together, transferred more than 900 passengers to a safe area. Subsequently, station master Ma Ruixin arranged for 5 staff members to immediately transfer and stay alone. But 20 minutes later, the departing deputy station chief Cai Mingxiang and five other staff members all returned. They said we cannot leave, we are a fighting collective.

Due to the need to keep in touch with the outside world, he himself has been stuck in the train control room of the station and cannot leave. The communication with the outside of the station is entirely reliant on Deputy Station Master Cai Mingxiang and others at Luopo Ridge Station. Comrade Cai Mingxiang organized four staff members at the station to run through the rain and purchase supplies, providing guidance for helicopter airdropped supplies, escorting sick passengers to transfer, and conducting uninterrupted water level inspections of the Luopo Ridge Reservoir. Due to walking too much, Comrade Cai Mingxiang's feet were covered in blisters.
