Wang Yi Meets with Indian Foreign Minister: China is highly concerned about India's recent restrictive measures against Chinese enterprises | Relationship | India
On July 14th local time, Wang Yi, Director of the Central Foreign Affairs Office, met with Indian Foreign Minister Su Jiesheng at the invitation in Jakarta.
As the top two developing countries and eternal neighbors in the world, China and India's common interests clearly outweigh their differences, and achieving common development and prosperity has global demonstration significance. Both sides should support and achieve each other, rather than consuming and doubting each other. We need to focus our energy and resources on our respective development, improving people's livelihoods, and accelerating revitalization, without allowing specific issues to define the overall relationship. I hope that India and China can move towards a mutually acceptable solution to the border issue. China is highly concerned about India's recent restrictive measures against Chinese enterprises and hopes that India will provide a fair, transparent, and non discriminatory business environment for Chinese enterprises.
Su Jiesheng stated that the normalization of India China relations is in the common interest of both sides. The Indian side is willing to respond appropriately to the differences between the two sides with an open attitude, promote the return of India China relations to the right track as soon as possible, and create favorable conditions for high-level exchanges in the next stage.
Both sides agree to hold the next round of military commander level talks on the border issue as soon as possible.
Both sides agreed to initiate the expansion process of the BRICS countries and reached a consensus in principle on this matter.
