On the afternoon of the 25th, General Secretary Xi Jinping inspected the Cuiyunlang Ancient Shu Road in Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province, to learn about the local promotion of historical and cultural heritage and strengthening the construction of ecological civilization.
On the ancient Shu Road, there is a special presence - Cuiyun Corridor, which exudes the "green" imprint of a thousand years of history with a calm and heavy temperament.
Please follow the Vlog footage of Li Linxin, a journalist from Xinhua News Agency, to visit the ancient cypress trees of Sichuan Province, experience the beauty of nature, and trace back historical memories.
The ancient people planted cypress trees on the Sichuan Road, which can be traced back to the Qin Dynasty. The intention was to plant trees to show the road, measure the distance with trees, protect the road, and provide shade and shelter from the heat.
For thousands of years, the local concept of "planting and protecting cypresses" has deeply rooted in people's hearts. There are currently 7803 ancient trees in the Cuiyun Corridor of Jianmen Shu Road, including 7778 ancient cypresses with an average age of 1050 years.
Cuiyun Corridor originated in the Qin Dynasty, passed through the Shu Han Dynasty, and has continued to this day. It is a silent poem and also a volume of sound paintings. The annual rings record the historical context of over two thousand years, allowing people to feel the ancient memories of time and the never-ending power.
