Visiting Vietnam soon, Biden announces
The United States announced that Biden will visit Vietnam on September 10th.
The White House announced on September 28th that President Biden will visit the Vietnamese capital Hanoi on September 10th and discuss technology, economy, and regional security issues with Vietnamese leaders such as General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Nguyen Phu Trong.

President Biden will travel to Hanoi, Vietnam on September 10th. Prior to this, he will attend the G20 summit in New Delhi. During his stay in Hanoi, President Biden will meet with important Vietnamese leaders to discuss ways to deepen cooperation between the United States and Vietnam.
The White House issued a statement on the same day, stating that Biden will discuss new opportunities for Vietnam's economic growth with Vietnamese leaders focused on technology and driven by innovation, and expand civil exchanges between the two countries through education exchanges and labor development projects.
Reuters 29 reported that the United States regards Vietnam as an important regional partner and hopes for an upgrade in US Vietnam relations. In March of this year, Biden had a phone conversation with the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Nguyen Phu Trong. In April, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken visited Vietnam. In late July, US Treasury Secretary Yellen visited Vietnam and expressed his hope to further deepen the US Vietnam economic and trade investment relationship and achieve an upgrade of bilateral relations as soon as possible. The Associated Press said that for many years, the United States has been seeking to strengthen its relationship with Vietnam, but Vietnam's attitude towards the US is cautious.
