At the invitation of the Australian Parliament, Tie Ning, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and Chairman of the China Australia Parliamentary Exchange Mechanism of the National People's Congress, led a delegation to visit Australia from August 7th to 11th. During the visit, he met and held talks with Australian Senate Speaker Ryan and House Speaker Dick, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Watts, Chairman of the Parliamentary Foreign Affairs and Defense Trade Joint Committee Newman, Minister of Science and Arts of the opposition Shadow House, and Chairman of the Australia China Parliamentary Group Jalan.
Tie Ning stated that the current China Australia relationship is stabilizing and improving, and China is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Australia to jointly implement the important consensus of the leaders of the two countries. The National People's Congress of China is willing to work with the Australian Parliament to make positive contributions to promoting the healthy development of China Australia relations.
