Shaanxi Province and Xi'an City organized 14 rescue forces with more than 980 people to fully carry out personnel search and rescue. As of 4 pm this afternoon, a total of 186 people have been relocated and resettled, damaged roads have been cleared, 49 communication base stations in the disaster stricken area have resumed service, and 855 households have resumed power supply. At present, efforts are still being made to rescue and reinforce river embankments.
The latest data from the State Administration of Financial Supervision and Administration shows that as of 10:00 am this morning, insurance institutions in 16 disaster stricken areas including Hebei, Beijing, and Heilongjiang have received 262600 insurance reports, with an estimated loss of 9.81 billion yuan. Currently, 123000 cases have been compensated, with a compensation amount of 1.694 billion yuan.
