CCTV News: Various regions and relevant departments are working together to help people in disaster stricken areas restore production and living order as soon as possible, and reduce the losses caused by floods.
As the start of the school year approaches, Zhuozhou City in Hebei Province, with the help of 14 county-level assistance teams in Baoding City, is working hard to clean up, repair, and beautify the affected schools, ensuring that the school starts as scheduled in autumn.
Due to the low terrain, when the flood arrived, the first floor of the teaching building flooded and the playground was flooded at Liuheying School in Douzhuang Town. The counterpart assistance team brought large mechanical equipment, and after a week of hard work, they have completed multiple tasks such as cleaning the mud inside and outside the school, organizing and cleaning indoor experimental instruments.
As of now, the power lines and facilities damaged by heavy rainfall and flash floods in Yixian, Baoding, Hebei have been repaired, and 117200 households in 26 townships have all resumed power supply.
In Beijing, the Mentougou section of National Highway 109 was severely damaged in rainstorm and flood. According to the principle of first rushing for access, then ensuring access, and finally restoring, Mentougou District is accelerating the repair work of flood damaged sections. Currently, the Mentougou section of National Highway 109 has temporary dual lane traffic conditions.
As the floods in the Yongding River floodplain gradually subside, the flooded villages, streets, and farmland in Wuqing District, Tianjin have gradually receded. In Huanghuadian Town, Wuqing District, local town and village staff are visiting and registering the damage caused to farmers, providing a basis for subsequent damage assessment and compensation work.
The current period is crucial for the prevention and control of rice diseases. After the flood, the agricultural department in Shulan, Jilin Province used helicopters to carry out "flying prevention" operations, spraying sterilizers to prevent fungal and bacterial infections in rice. In Qingsong Township, which was severely affected by the disaster, local manpower was organized to clear and prepare over 40 hectares of land. The government funded the purchase of seeds and planted vegetables with short growth cycles to reduce losses for farmers.
Heilongjiang Province should focus on ensuring the supply of daily necessities for the affected population. In Hailin, a three-level relay has been established at the city, town, and village levels to ensure smooth transportation channels for daily necessities and ensure adequate supply of essential goods for the people in the eight affected towns.
Liaoning has established a work ledger for identifying safety hazards in rural houses during the flood season, initiated plans for renovating dilapidated houses, reduced approval processes, and started construction as soon as possible, striving to complete the repair and reconstruction of 568 damaged houses by the end of October.
Recently, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Transport have once again issued a subsidy of 135 million yuan for vehicle purchase tax revenue to local governments, supporting disaster stricken areas in carrying out emergency road access work.
China Railway organized personnel and equipment to carry out railway repair, river rescue, and road dredging work. At present, the repair work of the Jingyuan Railway and Shitai Railway is being intensified.
