US chip giants cooperate with China! We will build a new chip innovation center in Shenzhen | China | Chip
According to the South China Morning Post in Hong Kong on July 31st, Intel is partnering with Shenzhen to establish a new chip innovation center to deepen its relationship.
Despite increasing pressure from Washington on semiconductor companies to reduce transactions with China, American chip giant Intel will still strengthen its business relations with China by establishing a new innovation center in Shenzhen. This center aims to assist domestic startups in China.
According to a post posted on the official WeChat account of the center, this American chip giant and the Nanshan District Government of Shenzhen launched the Intel Greater Bay Area Technology Innovation Center on July 29th. The center will focus on artificial intelligence, chip application development, edge computing, digital development and other fields.
According to the statement, the innovation center relies on the location, industry, and policy resource advantages of Nanshan District, integrates Intel's innovative technology, full stack product portfolio, and open ecosystem, gathers the innovation vitality of a large number of cooperative enterprises, and is committed to becoming a leading domestic and international innovation highland.

Intel China Chairman Wang Rui said at the launch ceremony of the center, "We will further leverage Intel's technological and ecosystem advantages, promote the integration and development of emerging industries in the Greater Bay Area and across the country, and help develop the digital economy."
According to reports, as US China relations deteriorate and Washington continues to escalate chip export restrictions, Intel is one of several US technology giants attempting to maintain business in the world's second largest economy. This technology war has also driven China's demand for electronic components, especially chips.

Intel CEO Patrick Gersinger ended his low-key visit to China earlier this month, marking his second visit in three months.
According to reports, Intel will collaborate with six local technology companies for this center in Shenzhen. These companies have all signed agreements with Intel at the launch ceremony to establish multiple joint laboratories, focusing on low-carbon and energy-saving information technology solutions, personal computers and server chips, and intelligent transportation.
Intel also promises to provide technical and resource support to companies located in Nanshan District to assist them in market promotion.
The report also stated that just two weeks before the establishment of the technology innovation center, Intel launched a processor designed to train artificial intelligence systems that meets US export requirements, in order to sell it to Chinese customers.
In mid July, at a product launch event held in Beijing, Intel showcased the Gaudi2 artificial intelligence processor. Intel Executive Vice President Sandra Rivera stated that the processor can enhance Chinese customers' ability to deploy artificial intelligence through cloud technology and cutting-edge intelligent technology, helping to establish China's future of artificial intelligence.
