On the afternoon of August 4, local time, in the center of Loytlingen, a large number of hail poured down with the rainstorm, white hail covered the ground in a short time, and the thickness of hail on the roads of some blocks soon reached 30 cm, leading to chaos in urban traffic and inconvenience for residents to travel. The environmental sanitation department subsequently deployed snow removal machines and other equipment to clean up the roads.
Some citizens also expressed that they captured a spectacular scene of hail converging into a river. The hail quickly melted after landing, forming a powerful water flow that completely submerged the road surface, forming glaciers in some neighborhoods.

Officials from the city government of Roytlingen stated that the sudden storm on that day caused some drainage systems in the city to become blocked, and there was also a situation where large amounts of water flooded into underground facilities such as garages. According to Agence France Presse, on that day, the water level of some sections of the river flowing through Roytlingen rose by more than 1 meter in just 5 minutes and washed away some of the riverbanks. Fortunately, there were no casualties or significant property damage.
