On the 26th, it was learned from the Tianjin Municipal Water Bureau that after the "23.7" catastrophic flood in the Haihe River Basin, after more than 20 days of flood discharge, Tianjin has accumulated over 3.5 billion cubic meters of upstream floods, and it is expected that about 700 million cubic meters of floods will enter the country in the future. The main flood discharge channels in Tianjin, such as Yongding River, Daqing River, and Ziya River, have entered the end of flood discharge.
Among them, the water level in the Dongdian flood storage and detention area of the Daqing River, as well as the discharge flow from the inlet gate of the Duliujian River, have all decreased to relatively low levels and are in a stable period of flood discharge; The flood in the Yongding River floodplain has basically subsided; The flood of Ziya River flows steadily into the sea through Ziya New River in Tianjin Binhai New Area.
Wang Liyi, Deputy Director of Tianjin Water Bureau, introduced that Tianjin is located at the end of the Haihe River basin, and the Yongding River, Daqing River, and Ziya River that experienced the flood all entered the sea from Tianjin. The Tianjin water department, in accordance with relevant deployments and requirements, collaborated with the flood control departments of Beijing and Hebei to fight against floods. Through continuous strengthening of the "four pre" measures of forecasting, early warning, rehearsal, and contingency plans, scientific scheduling of flood control projects in Tianjin was carried out, and emergency rescue measures were actively and effectively carried out, ensuring the safety of people's lives and property to the greatest extent possible.
