United Nations warning! The military conflict is pushing this country to the brink of a full-scale civil war
On the evening of July 8th, UN Secretary General Guterres warned that the ongoing military conflict between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Force is "pushing the entire country to the brink of a full-scale civil war, which may destabilize the entire region.".
Guterres expressed "deep concern" about the situation in Sudan and condemned an air raid on a city in the Sudanese capital area early on the 8th. According to the Sudanese Ministry of Health, the airstrike occurred in the Entumandal Salam district, resulting in 22 deaths and a large number of civilian injuries.

The conflicting parties have different views on this incident. The Rapid Support Force identified the Sudanese Armed Forces as launching airstrikes, resulting in 31 deaths. The armed forces issued a clear rebuttal on the 9th, stating that their air force did not carry out any airstrikes in Entuman on the 8th.
In addition, the Associated Press reported that in the early hours of the 9th, there was still fierce fighting in Khartoum, with both sides using heavy weapons in some areas and planes hovering over.

Guterres' deputy spokesperson, Farhan Hack, stated that the United Nations supports the efforts of the African Union and the East African Intergovernmental Organization for Development to promote peace talks.
The Sudanese Armed Forces and Rapid Support Forces clashed in mid April in the capital Khartoum, and the conflict subsequently spread to other areas. According to data from the Sudanese Ministry of Health, this round of conflict has resulted in over 3000 deaths and over 6000 injuries so far.
