At about 18:00 on August 11, Jiwozi Group, Haiziping Village, Luanzhen Street, Chang'an District, Xi'an City, suffered a flash flood and mud rock flow due to a rainstorm. Local residents, when interviewed by the surging news, said that the disaster was serious, with multiple road sections collapsing, some regional communications being interrupted and tourists being washed away.

Affected by short-term local heavy rainfall, at around 18:00 on August 11th, there was a sudden flash flood and debris flow in Jiwozi Formation, Heiziping Village, Luanzhen Street, Chang'an District, Xi'an City. According to CCTV News, after preliminary investigation, two residential buildings in the village have been washed away, and infrastructure such as roads, bridges, and power supply have been damaged, resulting in 2 deaths and 16 people missing.
In the afternoon of August 12, a villager from Jiwozi Group in Haiziping Village told the surging news that it began to rain heavily from 2 to 4 p.m. on August 11, and then mountain torrents broke out. The situation was serious. Many roads collapsed due to heavy rain. For a period of time, there was no signal from mobile phones, and there were casualties. The water on the mountain is now small, but villagers are not allowed to enter the mountain. The emergency communication vehicle has already climbed up the mountain, and there are currently troops in emergency rescue.

Several nearby villagers also expressed that their relatives and friends are still in the mountains, but they cannot be contacted, and they are very anxious. Another local villager said that many ambulances were taken and the tourists from the two farmhouses were washed away.
A local tourist told Pengpai News that they arrived at the nearby Fengyukou at 5:30 pm on the 11th. "At that time, they said the water was very yellow and the road was closed, so they took a few photos on it and went to eat. Around 6 pm that evening, they heard many police cars, ambulances, and fire trucks entering the mountain, about a dozen or so."
