Tripod hidden in the bag... commercial filming also focuses on the Summer Palace? Garden response: Apply makeup first before entering the garden reflector | Commercial | Tripod
Recently, after several places such as the Palace Museum and the Beijing Labor and People's Cultural Palace suspended commercial filming, some photographers with commercial photography and camera equipment such as slides, rocker arms, and reflectors took their clients to the Summer Palace. Regarding this, the staff of the Summer Palace stated that commercial filming is prohibited in the park.
Arriving at the Yinhui Gate of the Summer Palace, several people dressed in ancient costumes stood by the railing in the hallway, posing. A photographer crouched in the doorway a few meters away, adjusting the shooting angle. Beside him stood an assistant carrying a bag.
"Handsome guy, head up to the side, beautiful woman leaning towards this side... Hey! Yes, yes..." The photographer shouted loudly. Behind them, three or four tourists had to wait for them to finish filming. "We dare not pass through the middle, what if entering the mirror interferes with someone else's filming?" After waiting for about a few minutes, the photographer stood up and waved his hand satisfactorily, indicating that the waiting tourists behind could pass.
At present, "taking photos of ancient costumes in Beijing" has become a trend, and commercial travel photography is emerging one after another. During the visit to multiple scenic spots in the park, among the 9 people who took photos with DSLR cameras, 5 were commercial photographers.
"In the painting, the route to the tourist attraction is narrow, and these people occupy the scenic spot for more than ten minutes at a time. Tourists who come from behind can't even make it around. It often causes congestion, which really affects the experience." A tourist dressed in Hanfu said that when she used to dress up and come to play, photographers would often come over to chat up and ask if she wanted to pay for the shoot.
"There are regulations in Universal Studios, the Imperial Temple and the Forbidden City, and commercial photography is not allowed, so everyone has to choose the Summer Palace." A photographer said that customers generally choose shooting locations, but customers choose scenic spots that explicitly prohibit commercial photography, and they will recommend places such as the Summer Palace for selection.

"Isn't there a regulation in the Summer Palace yet?" The photographer said that currently, the main restrictions on commercial photography in scenic areas are tripods, reflective panels, and other equipment, as well as the act of following photos.
"For the sake of safety, now let the tourists put on their makeup, change their clothes, and then go to the scenic spot. We will directly carry a DSLR and put other equipment in the bag, and let the assistant try not to take it out as much as possible. The staff in the park cannot see it and usually do not stop it," said a photographer.
The reporter learned that the admission notice for the Summer Palace stipulates that unauthorized business activities are prohibited in the park, and professional camera equipment without approval from the management department is prohibited from taking photos in the park.
"We prohibit commercial filming," said the staff at the Summer Palace. Currently, filming activities within the scenic area will be judged by on-site staff based on the situation, and only non commercial filming is allowed.
"Commercial filming is easy to identify, such as wearing reflective panels or following the camera, which will be considered commercial filming," the staff said.
