The "Lancang" EMU of China Laos Railway, the high-speed EMU of Ya'an Wanzhou High speed Railway, the high-speed maglev train, the "Fuxing" intelligent EMU, the fully automated subway train, the inter city intelligent train, and the air rail train... From 60 kilometers per hour to 600 kilometers per hour, more than 20 advanced rail train models manufactured by CRRC Group have been unveiled.
The "Watching the World by Train" Laos Station event, organized by CRRC, was recently held at Vientiane Station. On the same day, the "Train Culture Station" jointly established by CRRC and Laos China Railway Company was unveiled at Vientiane Station, marking the first concentrated exhibition of CRRC's series of rail transit equipment in Laos, lasting for 30 days.
Entering the scene, a dazzling array of track train models attracted a large number of passengers and train enthusiasts to stop and watch. "It's the first time I've seen so many advanced models of rail trains, and I'm really shocked," said Rashi Tamaonsa, a senior student at the National University of Laos. These rail trains are very modern, with a wide variety of types, which is eye opening. Thai young man Nampatra is a train enthusiast who traveled from Thailand to Vientiane to visit the "Train Culture Station". He said, "I have traveled multiple times on the 'Lancang' in Laos and hope that Thailand can also have modern railways as soon as possible."
"The 'Train Culture Station' showcases the world's advanced rail train manufacturing technology, allowing the Laotian people to experience advanced rail train technology and railway culture up close. Vice Minister of Public Works and Transport of Laos, Vilekam Fosarat, stated that the opening of the Laos China Railway has ushered Laos into the 'high-speed train era', injecting strong impetus into economic and social development, and is a new symbol of traditional friendship between the two countries.".
According to data from the Tourism Promotion Department of the Ministry of News, Culture and Tourism of Laos, 85% of tourists from Vientiane to Luang Prabang choose to take the train. The Flying Lancang has become Laos' national business card. "The 'Lancang' high-speed train has been in operation for over a year and has been loved by tourists from all over the world for its advantages of safety, speed, cleanliness, and comfort. As of now, the 'Lancang' high-speed train has transported over 2.63 million passengers," said Weng Tong Su Pantong, Deputy Chief Engineer of Laos China Railway Co., Ltd.
