To contribute all rescue efforts to safeguarding the safety of people's lives and property, and maintaining social stability | the masses | society
Since July, extreme rainfall has occurred in areas such as North China, Huanghuai, and Northeast China, causing severe flooding and geological disasters, posing a huge threat to the safety of people's lives and property.
As the main force and national team of emergency rescue, the national comprehensive fire rescue team takes action upon hearing orders, moves towards danger, and charges forward, making every effort to search and rescue missing and trapped personnel, urgently transporting and properly resettling trapped people, helping to repair damaged infrastructure, and practicing the solemn oath of "loyalty to the Party, strict discipline, going through fire and water, and wholeheartedly serving the people" with practical actions.
Wherever there is a danger, fight bravely
Due to consecutive days of heavy rainfall, the Longfengshan Reservoir and Mopanshan Reservoir in Wuchang City, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province have exceeded the warning line for several consecutive days, causing a large number of surrounding villages to be flooded and hundreds of people to be trapped. The situation is critical. The Harbin Fire Rescue Brigade immediately established a flood control and rescue assault team to carry out rescue operations.
Assault team member Chu Fuliang found an elderly man in his 90s in a severely flooded residential building. The old man was bedridden due to paralysis and had difficulty moving, so he could only hold onto the edge of the bed tightly with both hands. At this time, the flood had already overflowed the old man's legs.
"Quick! Save the old man immediately!" Without hesitation, Chu Fuliang immediately carried the old man on his back and walked against the current in the waist high flood. Within a short distance of less than 200 meters, Chu Fuliang struggled to walk for nearly 20 minutes. After successfully rescuing the old man, Chu Fuliang and other team members ignored rest and continued to search tirelessly for the trapped people. After three days and nights of continuous fighting, the Harbin Fire Rescue Detachment successfully rescued more than 130 trapped people and transferred more than 200 people.
Wherever there is a danger, fight bravely; Wherever there is danger, it appears——
The Beijing Municipal Fire Rescue Brigade dispatched over a thousand firefighting and rescue personnel across regions to rush to areas such as Fangshan, Mentougou, and Changping, continuing to carry out search and rescue work, rescuing more than 1000 people and evacuating and transferring more than 15000 people;
The Tianjin Fire Rescue Brigade operates day and night continuously, carrying over 68000 sandbags, building embankments with a length of over 3500 meters, and organizing drainage of over 150000 tons;
The Shandong Provincial Fire Rescue Brigade dispatched 519 firefighters to reinforce flood prevention and disaster relief in Hebei, rescuing and evacuating 1099 people, and draining 2113000 cubic meters of water;
.
As of 18:00 on August 11th, national comprehensive firefighting and rescue teams from Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Liaoning, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Yunnan, Gansu and other regions, as well as Shandong Province firefighting and rescue teams that cross regional reinforcements to Zhuozhou, have participated in the disposal of 4223 dangerous situations caused by this round of heavy rainfall. 42000 firefighting and rescue personnel, 14900 vehicles, and 4937 boats have been dispatched, rescue and evacuate 30200 trapped people, transport 339 tons of materials, transport 2859 tons of domestic water, and complete drainage tasks at 288 operation points, with a total drainage capacity of 5.4181 million tons.
Make every effort to safeguard the safety of the people
Disaster is a command, time is life. Striving for time and minimizing casualties is the consistent commitment of the national comprehensive fire and rescue team.
On August 3rd, six villages around Jingya School in Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province were flooded, and more than 1400 villagers were trapped in Jingya School. Firefighter Zhou Heng from Tangshan Fire Rescue Detachment led the team to rescue. At this moment, the flood is pouring back into the school, and the campus walls are starting to collapse. Water has already flooded the classrooms on the first floor, and more urgently, the water level is still rising.
Zhou Heng waded through the water and explored the path step by step. As he couldn't see where there were steps and hidden pits under the clear water, he made five rounds before finally determining the rescue route. However, rescue boats were unable to approach the school building for fixation. At this point, only firefighters can jump into the water and tie the guide rope to the building platform to secure the rescue boat and open up a rescue channel.
The flood is very turbulent. "The flood may be urgent, but life is at stake! Party members and I will jump together first!" Zhou Heng and his team repeatedly jumped into the water, entered and exited the school, and fought for more than 10 hours in a row, successfully rescuing nearly 200 trapped people.
Firefighters and rescue personnel move towards danger, charging ahead and going to the areas where the disaster is most severe, the rescue is most difficult, and the people need it the most. They even spare their precious lives to fully protect the safety of the people.
At around 11:00 am on July 31st, the command center of the Haidian District Fire Rescue Brigade in Beijing received a report that three people were trapped in the Haidian Driving School Zhonglian Automobile Trading Market due to a flood. Rescue forces were immediately dispatched to the scene for disposal. When the rescue team at Xixiaoying Small Station was driving to Bei'an North Road, they suddenly encountered a crowd trapped in a flash flood, waving to the team for help. The situation was critical.
Commander Feng Zhen ordered an immediate stop to organize rescue operations. During the rescue process, due to the sudden rise in water level, a team member was knocked down by the rapids. Feng Zhen disregarded his personal safety and made every effort to push his comrades to a safe area. The trapped masses and team members were safely rescued, and Feng Zhen was washed away by floods due to continuous physical exhaustion in combat. Unfortunately, due to ineffective rescue efforts, he sacrificed himself heroically.
Party emblems shining brightly at the disaster relief site
On the evening of July 31st, there was severe water accumulation in Yongle Village, Zhuozhou City, and a pregnant woman urgently needed to be transferred. The rescue personnel of the Zhuozhou Fire Rescue Brigade drove a submachine boat for about 2.5 kilometers and arrived at the scene. After putting on life jackets and taking safety precautions for the pregnant woman, they slowly helped her downstairs.
When reaching the deepest point of the accumulated water, considering the physical condition of the pregnant woman, firefighters picked her up while comforting her. Soothing words gradually calm the pregnant woman's tense emotions. The window on the first floor was very narrow, and firefighters used their hands as "supports" to carefully transfer the pregnant woman to the lifeboat. After communication was restored, the pregnant woman dialed her husband's phone to report safety and said, "Don't worry about me. I'm with the firefighters, it's particularly safe."
"Seeing the firefighters coming, we have hope." This is a common feeling among the disaster stricken people. Footprints, arms, and figures appeared in the disaster stricken area, and firefighters braved the difficulties without hesitation. On the front line of flood prevention and disaster relief, national comprehensive fire rescue teams have established temporary party organizations, formed party member "assault teams", set up party member "vanguard posts" and "demonstration areas", allowing party flags to fly high on the rescue line, and party emblems to shine brightly at the disaster relief site.
The flood control and disaster relief efforts that have gone through hardships are not one-way rescue, but a two-way rush. "You have come all the way to rescue us, and we have to do something for you!" As the rescue mission of personnel in the main urban area of Zhuozhou City ends, the fire rescue team in Shandong Province is intensifying centralized drainage and drainage operations for some waterlogged communities and road sections. Many citizens of Zhuozhou have joined the logistics support unit of the Shandong Provincial Fire Rescue Team and become volunteers, busy with three meals a day for firefighters.
Climbing ropes on the rapids for rescue, building bridges for life amidst floods... No matter how strong the wind and rain, no matter how dangerous the floods are, the national comprehensive fire and rescue team will also face difficulties and contribute everything to maintaining the safety of people's lives and property and maintaining social stability.
